A TRAVEL fanatic has shared her experience after staying in a tiny treehouse.

Many features of the house made it feel like it could be her permanent home, if not for one major drawback.

Maddy Bockett loves traveling and recently decided to try out tiny house living on her own.

Sharing a TikTok video (@maddybockett), she booked a stay in a small treehouse she found on Airbnb.

The 130-square-foot log cabin is built into the side of a tree bark and is accessed by a spiral staircase.

Despite the tiny interior, the house has a kitchen, bathroom, living and sleeping area.

But perhaps Maddy’s favorite part of the house was the outside porch.

It was the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and soak up the sun.

On the ground floor, below the house, she was able to enjoy the small fire pit and grilling area.

Two chairs were provided, which would make it perfect for a couples retreat.

Maddy loved it so much she didn’t want to leave.

“I think I could live in a treehouse forever,” she told her followers in the comments.

‘WONDERFUL’

Others agreed that the house looked idyllic.

“Ah, I could live there,” commented one.

“Oh, that’s beautiful!” wrote another.

However, there was one big downside: the price.

The total stay was $272 per night, partly due to the numerous fees.

When booking an Airbnb or other short-term rental, be aware of additional fees like:

  • Cleaning fee
  • Service charge
  • Local taxes

BECOMING TINY

Tiny houses are not just for short-term stays, but many are also making them their forever homes.

A tiny house is generally considered any building under 500 square feet, although not all cities and states allow them to be used as permanent residences.

Some people prefer to build their own unique DIY homes, while some construction companies now specialize in making tiny homes.

A company in Tennessee was valued at $20 million after selling tiny homes for just $15,000.

And a man built his own little house in his backyard for $8,000, but he made a big mistake.
