A HOMEOWNER showed off her custom tiny home and detailed the costs of everything, including the pre-built setup.

When the would-be landlord canceled the order, Annie got a great deal on a small prefab home.

In a video on his YouTube channel (OhhMyAnnie), she explained that she purchased the house from Tiny Mountain Houses, an Oregon-based company.

She would have to wait several months if she ordered her own.

The home’s original cost was $136,000, but she negotiated it down to $132,000. Taxes and delivery brought the total to $142,000.

She paid $10,000 for a down payment and financed the house, paying $1,476 a month.

“I was paying $2,300 for a studio in Los Angeles,” she said.

“In three years, that totaled $90,000 and it was gone. But at least with that, I own it.”

The payment plan is for ten years, but she plans to pay it off much sooner.

Annie’s tiny house is currently in her parents’ backyard because it would have cost her at least $20,000 to buy land and build the house on it.

“There’s no power out there, and they would have to drill a whole new well and provide electricity and water and everything,” she said.

“Instead, my dad said, ‘Hey, if you leave this at home for at least a little while, I’ll pay the installation cost.’

“So thanks, dad!”

He ended up paying about $5,000 to put the house in his backyard. The process included leveling the land and digging trenches to connect the house to the septic tank and power to the main house.

Annie said she wants to stay in the tiny house for a maximum of three years and then turn it into an Airbnb and use the profits to pay for it.

“It was a bit of a down payment, but not much compared to what it costs to buy a big house,” she said.

“For me, less than $1,500 to have this space – which is less than a lot of people pay for rent – ​​and me owning it, I’m interested!”
