A COMPANY out of Texas is selling purpose-built tiny homes for less than $100,000.
The park models It comes fully equipped and can be towed anywhere, but the interior isn’t to everyone’s taste.
Mike Timmons, also known as “Mr Tiny”, is the sales manager at Recreational Resort Cottages.
This Rockwell, Texas company sells a wide variety of tiny park-model homes at affordable prices.
In a recent YouTube videoMike gave a tour of one of Recreational Resort Cottages’ most popular models – the Tumbleweed Cozy Cabin.
The 399-square-foot home costs just $93,000, including delivery and mooring within a 100-mile radius, but can be delivered even further for an extra charge.
The cozy home starts with an 8-foot front porch before the door opens to an open floor plan with a living area that has room for a large sofa and large TV.
The kitchen has an island, four-burner stove and huge refrigerator.
There’s even a dedicated space for a stacked washer and dryer.
The entire interior, including walls and ceilings, is decorated in southern yellow pine with walnut stain.
“We finished this with a cozy cabin aesthetic,” Mike explained.
In the bathroom, there is a walk-in shower, a normal flush toilet and a large sink.
Next the door is the bedroom, big enough for a California king bed.
A built-in closet utilizes sliding doors and a three-door dresser.
But that is not all.
Up a small staircase is the loft, which can be used as a second bedroom, office, games room or just storage.
Throughout the house there are many windows to allow natural light to enter.
An AC unit is also included in the $93,000 price tag – and because the house is so small, it’s much cheaper to keep it cool or warm than a regular house.
