A SAM’S Club member took to social media to rage at the company’s lack of customer service after trying to save money on a door-busting deal.

After the order was abruptly canceled and they were unable to get a clear response from the retailer, the customer posted an angry message on X.

“@SamsClub why am I not getting any response to a canceled order that I didn’t cancel, it was a door busted,” X user Robyn Rexsmith said in a publish.

“No one can give me a straight answer. I sent an email and got no response.

“The phone call says it hasn’t been canceled yet, I haven’t received it yet!”

The retailer issued a response within five minutes of posting, urging the buyer to contact them privately with more details.

“Hi, Robyn. Thanks for bringing this to our attention,” Sam said.

“We’d love to look into this for you. DM us with more details. Click the link below to continue via chat.”

The frustrated shopper confirmed that he had used the link to contact the company and no further updates were provided by Sam’s or Rexsmith.

INSUFFICIENT

Meanwhile, other members were furious about the retailer’s curbside pickup service.

“@SamsClub The curbside pickup order I placed on Wednesday that wasn’t ready yesterday as scheduled has been cancelled,” wrote another user publish.

“Why is Sam’s Club offering a service they cannot provide???

‘Time to cancel!’ member cries after being charged $8 fee – and they ‘thought Sam’s Club was cheaper’

“Saying ‘sorry for the inconvenience’ is simply not enough. Have I updated my subscription for this?”

Other users of the service have accused the retailer of hours-long delays, despite plans to start charging customers more for the benefit that was previously free to everyone.

Starting August 19, curbside pickup will only be free for Plus members, which costs shoppers an annual fee of $110.

Meanwhile, other members who want to use the service will have to pay a $4 fee per curbside pickup order.

Another change that will hit members in a few weeks is free shipping.

Costco vs Sam’s Club Membership

Below are comparisons between Costco and Sam’s Club memberships

Costco Memberships

Gold Star Membership – Gold Star membership costs $60 and can be used at all Costco stores. Also includes a Family Card.

Business association – Business membership costs $60 and is valid at all Costco locations worldwide. Members can add affiliate cardholders for $60 each. Membership is available for purchase for resale, but members must provide Costco with the appropriate resale information.

Executive association – Executive membership costs $120 annually and includes a free Domestic Card. Executive Members receive 2% annual rewards on eligible Costco purchases. Members receive additional benefits and greater savings on Costco services and extra benefits on select Costco Travel products.

Sam’s Club Membership

Club Membership – Club membership provides shoppers with bonus offers, same-day delivery, instant savings, members-only fuel savings and more.

Plus Membership – The Plus Membership offers shoppers everything the Club Membership does, plus free shipping, free curbside pickup, advance purchases, pharmacy discounts and optical discounts.

Free shipping will no longer be available on all orders; instead, only those worth $50 or more will qualify for the free benefit starting August 19th.

Those who place orders that don’t meet the limit will have to pay an $8 fee, which has Plus members furious after previously getting free shipping on all orders.

“Long-term Sam’s Club Plus member but will cancel as soon as new shipping rates start on August 19th,” one customer wrote on X.

Meanwhile, Sam’s Club rival Costco is also receiving pushback from customers after raising its annual fees for the first time in seven years.

Membership fees will increase starting September 1 by $5 to $65 for the basic Gold Star membership and by $10 to $130 per year for the executive membership.

The upcoming change has seen shoppers cancel their subscriptions amid “out of control” prices they “can no longer afford.”
