MCDONALD’S newest sandwiches feature a spicy Cajun sauce that was an instant hit with fans.
Starting April 22, McDonald’s customers will be able to purchase McCrispy Bacon Cajun Ranch and the Deluxe version at participating locations nationwide.
“It’s the spicy kick OG McCrispy didn’t even know it needed,” says McDonald’s in a Press release.
“McCrispy Cajun Ranch Bacon is inspired by the flavors of Southern soul food, with a bold, creamy and spicy Cajun ranch sauce.”
The regular sandwich features Southern-style fried chicken, applewood-smoked bacon, crinkle-cut pickles, and a creamy Cajun ranch dressing, all on a toasted potato bun.
The deluxe version has the addition of chopped lettuce and Roma tomatoes.
But the sandwiches are only available while supplies last, so don’t wait to try them.
McDonald’s app users tried the sandwiches earlier and had mixed feelings about it.
“McCrispy Cajun bacon ranch could be the solution to all the world’s problems,” he wrote a fan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Other fans criticized the fast food restaurant, saying the new option was too similar to other McCrispy options.
McDonald’s already offers regular, Deluxe and Spicy sandwiches.
“So basically just a new sauce,” one customer wrote in a Reddit thread.
“Weird surprise release,” added another.
A third customer said: “Laziness keeps surprising me!! Just bring back the McWrap.”
NEW BITES
McDonald’s expanded with a spin-off restaurant called CosMc’s last year.
There is currently only one location in Bolingbrook, Illinois, but the company announced it is opening two new restaurants.
The second and third locations opened in the Houston, Texas metropolitan area.
One opened on April 2 in Watauga and another on April 8 in Arlington.
