SPOOKY season is starting early at Build-A-Bear after a major leak revealed the store’s Halloween collection.
Unauthorized posts of the new Halloween plush toys began circulating earlier this month.
Build-A-Bear decided to launch the collection early, introducing three new uniquely designed toys and bringing back the classic Pumpkin Kitty.
“For kids and kids at heart, Build-A-Bear is proud to be a place to celebrate holidays and special events in a truly memorable way,” said Sharon Price John, president and CEO.
“Halloween has traditionally been a highlight of our Workshops for families to create magical moments together and for collectors to enjoy exclusive seasonal offerings. We believe the brand’s continued and growing popularity during this festive period reflects our commitment to providing joyful experiences and moments loved ones for all ages.”
LIMITED EDITION
Build-A-Bear has partnered with Sanrio and Hello Kitty to launch three new plush toys for Halloween.
The Candy Corn Cinnamoroll, Zombie Pompompurim, and Spooky Bat Kuromis are available for $36 each.
Each character also has a corresponding festive outfit for sale.
Pumpkin Kitty is also back in stores. It debuted in 2008 and was an instant hit with shoppers.
When Build-A-Bear brought the plush toy back last year, it sold out quickly.
Since then, 25,000 people have joined a waiting list to get one.
The orange kitty covered in a festive pumpkin pattern is available in classic and mini bean sizes, and a giant version is expected to be available later this fall.
During the Halloween season, Build-A-Bear will be releasing additional plush toys, including a new glow-in-the-dark collection.
Shoppers are excited about seasonal sales and can’t wait to get their hands on them.
“Ah, I’ll go for it!” he wrote a customer in a Reddit thread.
“They are all so precious!” wrote another.
