MCDONALD’S has quietly reintroduced an old drink to its menu.
The drink characteristics the taste of a much-loved snack.
McDonald’s has added the Oreo frappe back to the menu.
The sweet, cold drink features a chocolate flavor, hints of coffee and Oreo pieces.
It’s topped with whipped cream and crumbled pieces of the famous cookies.
The Oreo frappe joins the other frappes on the McDonald’s menu, caramel and mocha.
If the Oreo frappe looks familiar, that’s because it appeared as a limited-time option in 2023.
This was the first return of the drink, after being discontinued in 2015.
Unlike other menu announcements, McDonald’s didn’t talk about the return of the Oreo frappe in social media.
But that didn’t stop fans from sharing their excitement.
“You have to try this Oreo frappe”, wrote one on X.
“I want that damn McDonald’s Oreo Frappé immediately,” shared another.
“That McDonald’s Oreo frappe was always a hit,” agreed a third.
MORE MENU NEWS
However, the return of the Oreo frappe isn’t the only change on McDonald’s menu lately.
The chain also has two new sandwiches.
McCrispy’s Cajun Ranch Bacon and a deluxe version of it debuted on the menu this month.
Available as a limited-time item, it features Southern-style fried chicken tenders and applewood-smoked bacon piled high between a potato bun.
Perhaps the biggest attraction of the new sandwich is the creamy Cajun ranch sauce, unlike anything previously on the McDonald’s menu.
However, not everyone is a fan of the menu offering.
Some felt the sandwich offered little more than a “new sauce” and accused McDonald’s of “laziness.”
In the meantime, here’s why menu prices may have gone up at your local McDonald’s.
And find out what an employee has to say about the restaurant’s decaf coffee.
