The family-owned chain announced in March that it would close 18 of its 44 branches, according to Guitar. with.

An employee at the company’s famous store in Clearwater, Florida, at the time, said the news “literally came out of nowhere,” according to Correction.

Reports of employees putting up sale signs in stores were made in March.

The employee said he was not aware of the timeline for closure.

New reports online, from apparent staff members, suggested they were told all 44 stores were about to close.

Sam Ash has not yet confirmed these reports.

These reports suggest that the company, founded in 1924, could disappear unless a buyer is found.

The century-old company was known as a place where people could buy a variety of instruments, such as guitars and drums, or other musical equipment, such as speakers and microphones.

Reports on social media, from people claiming to be employees, suggested that Sam Ash’s leadership team was aware of the planned closures.

The family-owned company lost its COO Sammy Ash in September 2023 due to cancer.

The Ash family’s involvement in the business is still strong, as the company’s president and CEO, since 1995, is Richard Ash.

The store’s fans took to Facebook to share their opinions on the reports, in the comments of a publish.

“That’s a shame,” one person said.

“I use it to be the best,” wrote another commenter.

RETAIL APOCALYPSE

The US Sun previously reported on struggling retailers having to respond by closing their retail spaces.

Shop ‘n Save is about to close one of its stores in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The supermarket chain announced that the last day of the branch will be May 13th.

An Aldi store will replace this location.

This branch has been open to the community since 2018.

US Sun has reached out to Sam Ash for comment.
