A WALMART customer ran into some trouble during an unsatisfactory shopping trip that ended with a long wait for self-checkout.

Shoppers have been expressing their disappointment with Walmart’s checkout process.

A customer recently talked about dealing with a long line and “no human cashiers” while shopping in the store.

“Checking out at Walmart is a hassle now!” they wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“There are no human cashiers and the self-checkout line is always fucking long!

“Who thought that was a good idea?!”

Walmart responded to the shopper by apologizing and asking for more information to help rectify the situation, but it’s unclear whether the customer sent a message.

Several customers had similar complaints about long waits in the store.

“Walmart, self-checkout has gotten worse with the addition of Sparks driver-only checkout, leaving paying customers in line for over 20 minutes,” another customer wrote on X.

Recently, Walmart allocated some self-checkout lanes to Spark delivery drivers and Walmart+ subscribers.

“Eight boxes, four down and two for Sparks. There are two left for the rest of the 20 people in line.

“It’s not right to keep paying customers waiting when the two Spark cash registers are unused.”

A third customer shared a photo of several isolated self-checkout machines with a line snaking through the store.

“Only two self-checkouts available at 7:45am. The line is for the freezer!” they captioned the photo.

But this choice has not been popular with buyers either.

“If you are going to remove self-checkout, for crowds of shoppers queuing; How about giving queues a place to queue so it doesn’t disturb other shoppers?” a buyer wrote on X,

Another simply said, “No more self-checkout at my Walmart.”

“They go through your cart and scan my stuff.”

“Back on target I go haha,” commented a third person.

Shoppers begged Walmart to use a new receipt checker after it launched at Sam’s Club.

And Walmart launched a new brand to compete with Amazon.
