A NINJA customer shared her success with Costco’s famously generous return policy.

After the manufacturer refused to accept the return, the wholesale club’s 100% satisfaction guarantee came to the rescue.

O Reddit r/Costco community is an unofficial space where members and employees can share their thoughts and feelings about the store.

Costco’s return policy is a popular topic of discussion and in a recent threadsome customers praised the store for its generosity in distributing refunds.

One of them revealed that they had a great experience purchasing a set of non-stick pans from the popular Ninja brand.

They were dissatisfied with the products and tried to take advantage of the five-year warranty advertised on the packaging.

However, when they tried to get a refund directly from Ninja, they had no luck.

“Despite a five-year warranty plastered throughout and a price tag of over $300, customer service accused me of intentionally destroying them and then told me to pay for a replacement,” they wrote.

However, the customer was able to get a full refund for the same products by taking them to the Costco returns counter.

They said the store accepted the return “without any problems.”

The customer promised they would maintain their “forever membership” as a result of the positive experience.

Other thread participants revealed that they had similar success with Costco’s customer service.

“This is pretty much the norm for a Costco comeback,” one said.

“It’s one of the main reasons they have so much customer loyalty.”

NO RECEIPT? NO PROBLEM?

Costco members can get a refund for a product even if they no longer have a receipt.

This is because members can check each member’s purchases history using your membership card.

Costco Return Policy

What are the details of the famous return policy?

“We guarantee your satisfaction with every product we sell and will refund the purchase price,” said the return policy States.

There are some exceptions to this 100% satisfaction guarantee, which are:

  • Electronics – Returns will be accepted within 90 days from the date the member received the product.
  • Diamonds – 1.00 ct or larger must be returned with all original documentation within 48 hours and will be inspected for authenticity.
  • Cigarettes and alcoholic beverages – These items cannot be returned by law.
  • Items with a limited shelf life, such as batteries and tires, cannot be returned.
  • Special order kiosk and custom installed programs may only be returned or refunded if under warranty repair/replacement.
  • Gold bars, silver bars and coins are non-refundable.
  • Store Cards are non-refundable.
  • Airline items and live performance events are non-refundable.

Costco memberships can be canceled and refunded at any time if the customer is dissatisfied.

This even works on gifted products, as one woman recently discovered.

Although TikTok user @rainbowsunshineeee wasn’t a member, she got a Keurig coffee maker purchased at Costco.

As she shared in a video, the store was able to verify the purchase simply with a photo of the membership card of the person who gifted her the Keurig.

The non-member was able to get a full refund on his debit card without any problems.

“This was a lot easier than I thought it would be,” she said.

See why a Costco customer had their membership canceled due to a “simple mistake.”

And which new pie in the bakery section is driving fans crazy.
