A WALMART store has had to close its doors to customers due to a reported case of vandalism.
The Walmart store in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada, left a note for surprised customers.
This agency temporarily closed its doors on Wednesday, 22, in the afternoon.
The note did not fully explain the reason for the closure.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the PA Walmart will close at 3:30 pm today, Wednesday, May 22nd,” the note said, according to paNOW. with.
A Facebook a post from the Prince Albert store said they hoped to reopen the store later that day.
“Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause,” the post added.
A comment on this post suggested that the reason for this shutdown was a malicious act.
“This is due to an electrical transformer that needs to be replaced due to vandalism,” the commenter wrote.
The reason was confirmed by local news website paNOW.com.
A buyer commented and shared his thoughts on the situation.
“I’m sorry to hear that!” they wrote.
Staff reportedly remained inside the building to inspect any potential fire hazards.
A follow-up Facebook post from the store confirmed that the branch reopened on the same day.
“PA Walmart is open again until 10pm tonight,” the post wrote.
“Thank you for your patience during this unexpected disruption.”
gone forever
Although this closure was short-lived, the company made major changes to its retail portfolio.
