KROGER has apologized after a customer paid 30% more for some groceries than they thought they would.

This was due to a little-known change in pricing that could affect delivery orders.

Like most grocery stores, Kroger has a home delivery service, offering customers a convenient option.

However, this service turned out to be not so convenient for a buyer.

This is because promotional prices ended while the products were in the cart.

The customer told Kroger that it should notify customers of price changes.

“For delivery orders, you must notify the customer if an item is out of sale or has a coupon in the cart before purchasing,” he wrote.

“I paid 30% more today because I didn’t realize their weekly prices change at midnight on Wednesday.”

The customer was refunded for these items and Kroger apologized in a since-deleted post.

However, this isn’t the only reason for complaints a Kroger customer has been receiving recently.

Many shoppers are unhappy with the store’s use of self-service cash registers.

SELF-CHECKOUT FURY

Recently, one of them was outraged to discover that only self-checkout was available at his local Kroger during a busy shopping period.

“No employees at Kroger. Self-checkout only,” they wrote.

“They wouldn’t even know if I left without paying, but I wouldn’t do that.”

The post included a video showing a huge line of customers waiting.

Some shoppers are outraged that self-checkout audio can no longer be muted.

Previously, store cash registers had volume control options that customers could set to their preference.

But in recent years, this has been gradually phased out.

“Makes me never want to shop there again,” said one on Reddit.

Meanwhile, Walmart shoppers are threatening to abandon their carts over a controversial new self-checkout rule.
