MEMBERS of Panera’s Unlimited Sips Club have praised the benefits, but Starbucks fans aren’t willing to abandon the company for free refills.

Panera’s club costs $14.99 a month, but a current special offer offers free membership.

Unlimited Sips Club members can receive a free drink of any size every two hours during regular business hours.

This includes hot coffee and tea, iced coffee and tea, Charged Sips, lemonade and fountain drinks.

Of course, free refills are included.

Panera customers who join by May 31 will receive three months of free membership.

One member shared all the benefits they have enjoyed since joining.

“It’s the little things that excite me… Now I know I’m a little slow to catch on about Panera Sip Club and everything, but I just realized what an amazing business it is,” she wrote on Facebook publish.

“Even better is that there are two Paneras in the hospital where I spend a lot of time now, one of which is right outside the doors of the emergency room I’m in.

“Plus, it’s three months free!!! I can drink it with my iced tea (unfortunately, not Long Island, haha) and hot tea, which are much needed.”

One of her friends said she had also recently signed up and was excited about the three-month free membership.

Another person was happy to see that she started going to Panera because “Starbucks is a ripoff.”

I’m a Panera employee – people are shocked to see how we make Iced Green Tea, it’s not worth $3

“I can guarantee you are mistaken,” the original poster responded.

“I will always go to Starbucks for my latte in the morning!”

MENU MIX

Panera recently came under fire from customers after getting rid of several fan favorites while overhauling the menu.

This was the biggest menu change in history, as 48 items were discontinued.

Some of the discontinued items include turkey chili, blueberry bagels, napa almond chicken salad sandwiches, roast turkey and avocado BLT, and key lime cookies.

Panera said the menu changes were part of a “new era” and fans were vocal about their disappointment.

Panera versus Starbucks

Both Panera and Starbucks offer a variety of different drinks. USA compared some of the most popular options

Panera

  • Papaya Passion Green Tea
  • Blueberry and Lavender Lemonade
  • Citrus Punch
  • Hibiscus Tea with Pomegranate
  • Agave Lemonade

Starbucks

  • Refreshing strawberry and açaí lemonade
  • Mago Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher
  • Refreshing pineapple and passion fruit lemonade
  • Pink drink refresher
  • Dragon Drink Refresher
  • Refreshing paradise drink

“This ‘era’ sucks,” wrote one on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“They got rid of everything good on the menu. This will be a masterclass in how to lose customers.”

‘Wow, Panera Bread just destroyed a lot of good menu items,” said another.

“I can’t even buy a damn chocolate bagel anymore.”

Starbucks fans are equally fed up with the new drinks that will be added to the store’s menu.

Additionally, Burger King is launching a $5 meal to compete with rival McDonald’s.
