A LUCKY saver has found two designer items that cost a dollar each.
The buyer couldn’t contain his excitement and shared his findings on social media.
“Guys, $1 each”, the user shared on Reddit.
The first image was medium wash Chanel jeans.
On the next slide was a Gucci shirt with an interesting print.
The top of the shirt was beige with different colored flowers.
It ended in a triangle shape and merged into a dark pink block triangle that pointed downward toward the white bottom of the shirt.
All designs read in French, “Dans mon pays on m’appelait l’amour”, which translates to “In my country they call me love”.
Another user commented on the post saying, “The way I would be internally losing control while trying not to reveal that they underestimated him.”
The initial poster responded: “I was. I started shopping faster, I almost became frantic hahaha. I hid the tags on my body so no one would see them while I was shopping haha.”
HOW MUCH ARE THEY WORTH?
While it’s unknown how much Chanel jeans originally cost, the brand’s selection varies in price, with pairs in their website sold for $2,600 to $3,450.
However, there are some cheaper options that buyers can purchase second-hand for more than a dollar but much less than the retail price.
TheRealReal is selling vintage Chanel jeans for $244.
Rare items still see a big price increase, like another vintage pair that Collective Changing Room is selling for more than $7,000.
The Gucci shirt is not yet sold by the designer, but was recently sold by TheRealReal.
The price was US$295, but was reduced by 70%, to US$88.50.
A similar version of the shirt was priced even higher.
The brand has already sold a light pink t-shirt at the same price for US$750, but TheRealReal it was priced at $525.
VINTAGE DRESS
Many savers have been lucky enough to find designer items while browsing the shelves.
Another shopper found a vintage Versace dress for $17.
“I don’t want to be dramatic, but then you’re going to freak out,” Sarah Dunk (@sarahdunk) said in the video.
She showed off the Gianni Versace label on a dress made from black mesh and the bodice had nude lace details.
Commenters helped her figure out where the dress was from and how much it cost.
“This dress is from the ’92 collection and is worth around $9,800,” one user wrote.
One of these dresses is listed on resale site First Dibs for $9,800.
