‘Nine cars and counting’ angers Kroger shopper with long wait times at curbside pickup and watching customers cut in line

Kroger, like many competing stores, offers a curbside pickup service.

Customers can choose to have an associate bring their purchases to their vehicle, saving time spent walking the aisles and choosing their products.

But one buyer recently discovered that this service didn’t save them any time.

Posting in Xthey said they had been “sitting at Kroger waiting for my click list for over 40 minutes.

“Watching seven cars (and counting) whoever arrived here after us picks up their shopping and leaves.”

“Very livid,” they added.

In a follow-up post, they revealed that two other cars had arrived and shopped before them.

“I could have easily gone in and completed my shopping trip in the time I was waiting,” they said.

Kroger responded: “We’re sorry you had to wait so long for your order and we hope you received it shortly after it shipped.

“This is not what we want for our customers, and we would like to investigate.”

Kroger asked the customer to contact them with more information.

Customers who prefer to pick their own groceries may also experience longer wait times.

This is because the store announced that it will implement receipt verification in some locations.

Theft deterrent is a common feature at Walmart, Costco and Sam’s Club.

How does curbside pickup work?

Pickup is an online ordering service offered by Kroger and many other grocery stores.

Customers buy the products they need online and pick up their orders at the store of their choice.

Members will even bring your purchases and place them in your car.

At Kroger, pickup is free on orders over $35

However, it is unpopular with many shoppers because it delays leaving the store.

A lawyer previously told The US Sun that while Walmart and Kroger have the right to ask for your receipt, you have no legal obligation to show it.

However, the law It’s different at membership-only stores like Costco and Sam’s Club.

Buyers are legally required to show receipt upon request.
