The new honeycomb candy covered in milk chocolate at Trader Joe’s was an instant tip.

The candy is made from sugar, honey and baking soda and then small squares are covered in chocolate.

On the Trader Joe’s subreddit, shoppers compared them to a Butterfinger without the peanut butter.

“Tastes like a Butterfinger chocolate bar – just with honey flavor instead of peanut butter,” wrote one customer.

It has a slightly airier consistency than a Butterfinger, but has the same flavor and mouthfeel once chewed.

The original poster said the candy has a “similar propensity” to get stuck in teeth, but has an airier and “more crystalline” texture than Butterfingers.

“Today I accidentally ate half a bag. They are very good,” wrote another fan.

“The honeycomb is crunchy at first but then chewy and definitely tastes like honey. It’s as sweet as you’d expect. I’ll be back for another bag!”

Fans looking to stock up on goodies will pay $3.99 per bag.

FLAME ON

Trader Joe’s was in hot water with shoppers after the store issued a recall for the $3.99 mango and tangerine scented candle.

Trader Joe’s summer favorites are back!

The candles “may have an unexpected burning pattern,” the retailer said on its website.

“The candle flame can spread from the wick into the wax, causing a larger flame than expected, posing a safety risk,” said Trader Joe’s.

“We ask that you discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.”

But the recall came too late for some buyers.

“Just a PSA: I recently purchased a Mango Tangerine candle that completely caught fire after I lit it,” wrote an anonymous Facebook user.

What is honeycomb candy?

Honeycomb candy—sometimes called sponge, seafoam, or citron candy—is made from honey, sugar, and baking soda.

The airy treat has holes throughout, representing a honeycomb from a beehive.

It is a versatile sweet that can be covered with chocolate or other toppings.

Unfortunately for fans, it can also be very expensive.

A half-kilo bag of sweets costs $31 at Amazon.

“I went in today and told the manager, and he said they removed everyone. Many people complained, even some employees.”

Another shopper said he lit the candle for a few hours and was grateful nothing happened.

Reddit users have also been bragging about $1.25 plates that are flying off the shelves.
