Cracker Barrel Confirms Permanent Restaurant Closing with Practical Voice Message for Loyal Customers

A CRACKER Barrel store has permanently closed its doors and left some of its customers shocked.

The restaurant was in Columbia, South Carolina.

The information was confirmed to its customers through a phone call to the now closed agency, according to The state.

“Thank you for calling Sandhill Cracker Barrel, this location has closed permanently,” the message read.

“We invite you to visit one of our more than 160 locations in 44 states.”

Customers were also greeted with a sign on the door confirming the sad news, according to a CBS affiliate WLTX.

“To our Sandhill community – thank you for over 15 years in the community,” the note read.

“We are honored to welcome guests to a home away from home at our store and value the opportunity to be a part of so many special occasions for our guests and community.

“We are deeply saddened to announce that this location has closed.”

Despite this closure, two locations remain in the Columbia area.

Some residents shared that they were devastated and shocked by the news on Facebook. publish.

“That’s crazy, we were there and it was packed,” one person wrote.

“We keep losing restaurants,” said another commenter.

One person suggested a possible reason for leaving the restaurant.

“I always thought it was a strange location…not near an interstate,” they said.

Cracker Barrel shared that “performance” was the reason for the location’s closure.

“As a general rule, we continually evaluate the performance of our stores using multiple criteria to ensure we are meeting the needs of our guests and our business,” the chain told WLTX.

“The decision to close a store is never taken lightly and our focus now is on helping our affected employees through this transition.”

This restaurant wasn’t the only place to close its doors, US Sun previously reported.

Retail stores have also faced mass closures as one company plans to close all of its branches.

99 Cents Only plans to close all 371 of its locations after filing for bankruptcy.
