Jim Bean has launched its new beverage line, Kentucky Coolers.

The ready-to-drink drinks feature a portion of the famous whiskey mixed with four fruit flavors, including:

  • Peach
  • Orange
  • Blueberry
  • Strawberry

All four flavors are included in a 12-count variety pack of 12-ounce cans.

Each can contains 120 calories at 5% ABV.

“Jim Beam is an iconic brand that, at its core, is about the power of human connection, dating back to Beam’s front porch family home where everyone was welcome,” said Veronique Mur, global vice president of the Jim Beam brand, in a press release.

“We know firsthand how a carefully crafted beverage can complement life’s most cherished moments and this is captured in every can of Kentucky Coolers opened with those we love.

“We are proud to continue to innovate this iconic brand and introduce more unique flavors for people to connect and share.”

READY TO DRINK?

Ready-to-drink beverages are an important new trend in the food and beverage industry.

The segment has grown +104% over the past 2 years while all other alcoholic beverage market segments have declined, according to Nielsen IQ.

IN THE CAN

Since White Claw hit shelves in 2016, beverage brands new and old have rushed to get into the ready-to-drink game.

Last year, Lipton’s, AriZona, and Dunkin’ unveiled their new hard iced teas.

Meanwhile, new brands like PRESS, Loverboy and TipTop cater to the premium end of the market.

Despite their popularity, 19 states ban the sale of ready-to-drink spirit-based cocktails in grocery stores.

Chili’s launches new drink on the menu, but with a twist – and fans say it’s a ‘danger humanity may not be able to face’

Cocktail fans might want to head to Chili’s to try the restaurant’s exclusive new take on the espresso martini.

The chain decided to give the classic cocktail a shake up by using Reposado tequila instead of the usual vodka.

Chili’s says the change was inspired by a collaboration with Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney, who prefers tequila.

“For me, an espresso martini made with tequila is not only far superior to vodka, but it is also shaken with Chili’s DNA,” the reality TV actress added in a press release.
