The chain has branches in Lancaster, Mount Joy and Lititz, with its first branch opening four years ago.

“Today is a very sad day for our Frisco’s Chick family and we have to close our doors,” read a notice posted on restaurant doors to customers on Friday.

The Peruvian-style restaurant said the closures are the result of “increasing product costs and a sharp decline in sales.”

These factors “made it impossible to continue serving you,” the note explains.

“My heart is broken for my team, for my family and for you, our beloved customers,” wrote Francisco Gomez De La Torre, owner of Frisco’s.

De La Torre confirmed in a Facebook post that the restaurants will remain open until all stock is gone, thanks to the efforts of employees.

“Although we have decided to close, a group of our team has refused to stop working and will sell through our inventory until it runs out at our Lancaster and Mount Joy locations,” Gomez said. he said.

He added that all sales of this remaining inventory will be cash only, and all proceeds will go to employees.

“We can’t thank everyone enough for the love and support throughout our journey,” he said, noting that he has a “heavy heart” regarding the permanent closures.

Fans of the network were stunned by the news, sharing their shock in the comments below the Facebook post.

‘DIFFICULT DAYS’

“I think our authorities should promote a way to ensure this extraordinary place doesn’t close, maybe all of us neighbors can do something please.”

“Oh no! I’ve always enjoyed coming here with my mom and brother AMAZING FOOD. I’m so sorry, I wish I could help,” said another.

“Wow! So sad. We loved your food and inspiring story!” a third wrote.
