A TARGET shopper stopped by the store after her experience with the chain’s Drive Up service.

This customer questioned the time it took to get her purchases and her complaint even attracted a response from the company.

Alaya Michelle (@alayamichelle1) stated that she could have picked up her merchandise at the store faster than it took her to wait to pick up her purchases.

Target’s Drive Up service allows shoppers to purchase eligible items online and then pick them up at a store where they are ready.

Users then tell the store they are arriving and what vehicle they are in via the Target app.

Finally, once parked, the shopper must tap the “I’m here” option in the app to have their items delivered to them.

Buyers typically need to allow staff up to two hours to prepare their orders.

Despite this apparent convenience, Michelle said she hasn’t experienced this on an X publish.

“@Target why offer the option to drive then wait 30+ minutes and no one answers the phone is literally a reason why I drove if I could have walked in I can’t even get my stuff because I have to leave the worst service of all time,” she said.

Michelle’s complaint received a response from Target, which said it was investigating her situation.

“We sincerely apologize for the long wait for your pickup order and thank you for reaching out about this,” Target said.

“We would like to investigate this for you and provide assistance.”

The store then asked Michelle to send them more details, but it’s unclear whether she did.

Target recently expanded its Drive Up service to allow shoppers to make returns this way as well, The US Sun previously reported.

Buyers may return unopened products within 90 days of purchase.

This deadline is extended to one year for Target brand items.

How to Collect Orders at Target

Target offered shoppers multiple ways to place and receive their orders.

Some of these methods have been implemented to make shopping more convenient and faster for people.

  • Order Pickup – Allows shoppers to purchase items online and pick them up at their local Target store.
  • Drive Up – App orders can be brought to customers’ vehicles in the parking lots of select Target stores.
  • Home delivery – online orders can be sent to people’s homes.

Shoppers should note that the new returns feature was introduced in around 500 of the chain’s 2,000 stores in April.

The company said it hopes to bring this to all locations by the end of the summer.

The Target Drive Up service also allows customers to add a Starbucks order that employees would take to their car.

Despite Michelle’s complaint, other customers shared their love for this service.

“I was very impressed when I went to @Target today to see that they have expanded and improved the drive up section. It’s even covered now,” one person wrote.

“I love Target Drive Up because you can literally buy something for $1 and they will still deliver it to you,” said another person.

US Sun has reached out to Target for comment.
