Despite its prevalence, it is a relatively new service with some problems that need to be resolved.

A Kroger customer experienced multiple disappointments with a grocery order after being overcharged.

Going by the name of Aunt Shrew (@Quemgafneway), she said her problems began when an item in her cart suddenly became unavailable.

“Nothing hurts more than losing BOGO marijuana stickers and then seeing them change to ‘delivery only available’ when you had them in your cart,” she says. he wrote in X.

Kroger apologized, but she had a more pressing matter to attend to.

She posted a photo of her grocery order of a pound of cubed steaks priced at $12.58.

But she was charged $28.62 for four pounds.

“Buyer beware! Now I have to worry something is going to jump on my account,” she wrote.

Kroger admitted they were overcharged for the meat and asked for more information to try to make things right.

Tia thanked Kroger for the apology and for trying to resolve the issue.

‘You better watch your receipt,’ says Kroger shopper after being ‘overcharged by $140’ — she faced 2-week wait for refund

“Now let’s hope nothing jumps out!” she wrote.

EXPENSIVE REPLACEMENTS

While placing an order online, another Kroger customer was charged more than $2,000.

Jill McCormick placed a large order for a holiday dinner that totaled $282.

She checked the app to see when her order would be delivered and was shocked to see that she had been charged $2,783.25.

“My heart stopped because I’m thinking about panic,” she said WCPO in an interview.

Orders must be a minimum of $10 for faster delivery.

Customers can save $15 on your first delivery order $75 or more

Several items have been added to your order. She was charged $73.43 for five bottles of Dawn detergent, $26.94 for turkey bacon and $239.85 for 15 bottles of Gain laundry detergent.

To make matters worse, the items were never delivered.

“After trying for an hour, trying to get in touch with someone, they were finally able to contact Instacart to cancel the order because they never canceled the order like the buyer originally told me,” McCormick said.

Kroger partners with Instacart to offer same-day delivery.

When she first tried to get her money back, Kroger offered her a $20 gift card for her troubles and said it would take seven to 10 days to issue a refund.

McCormick said she was later offered a $250 gift card, but she wanted Kroger to address the issue of how the overcharge happened.

“I’m looking for a solution and a result. How about we show results so that someone else, another family, doesn’t go through this,” she said.

Another Kroger customer was overcharged $280 and told she would never shop at the store again.

Kroger customers have also complained about the store’s new carts missing a key feature.
