Ansel Pineiro explained why he planned to switch from Sam’s Club’s more expensive Plus membership to the more basic Club membership.

The Club plan would cost people $50 a year and included great perks like same-day delivery and bonus offers.

Sam’s Club’s Plus plan would cost $110 per year and includes additional perks like pharmacy savings and free curbside pickup.

The chain sparked fury among its members when it recently announced it would no longer offer free shipping on all orders.

Additionally, customers will only be able to qualify for this benefit on orders over $50 after August 19th.

Orders under this value will be charged a new flat fee of $8.

Pineiro explained why this change made him migrate to the cheaper annual plan.

“I’m definitely downgrading my Sam’s Club membership,” he wrote in the comments of a Facebook post. publish.

“I did the math and the extra money back from being a plus member might be enough for me to break even.

“Free shipping is what tipped the scales in favor of me maintaining a positive subscription.”

Another shopper in the comments also shared that this change will make him re-evaluate his subscription with the retailer.

One shopper said he canceled his plan because he didn’t realize advance purchases were only available to Plus members, The US Sun previously reported.

An advantage of the more expensive plan is the possibility of completing the purchase before 10 am.

“I had no idea that Sam’s Club doesn’t let you into their stores before 10am if you’re a regular member??? What’s the point??” they questioned.

“Literally, someone at the front door turned me away.

“I’m going to cancel my shit and not come back. Such a strange rule.
