“Having just ONE customer service person at a store as big as @Walmart is a crazy job,” she said. he wrote.

“The line is 65 people long and you wait 12 hours to return a pillow.”

The major retailer contacted the dissatisfied customer, offering to further investigate the situation.

“That doesn’t seem right, Bonnie,” Walmart Help responded.

The retailer asked the buyer to contact them privately via direct message to see how the issue could be resolved.

No further updates were provided, but Bonnie isn’t the only one experiencing customer service issues at Walmart.

Instead of having issues with the store’s tech support, a shopper shared how the checkout procedures at her local store in Easley, South Carolina are “getting out of hand.”

Taking to Facebook while standing in a long queue at the store, Sally Shilling Castle shared her thoughts on the retailer’s new self-checkout systems and staffing shortages.

“I just want to say the Walmart in Easley is getting out of control!!” Castle wrote in his post.

“Self checkout is for 15 items or less, but they only have 2 people doing regular checkout!

‘I got lost permanently’ screams Walmart shopper after hour-long pickup delay as store admits ‘not the service you deserve’

“Walmart, if we can’t do self-checkout, you better staff the registers!”

The frustrated shopper later returned to Facebook to add more details about her absurd shopping experience, which worsened when she reached the checkout.

“So I got to the cashier…she said if you’re using your own bags, you’ll have to pack them yourself,” Castle added.

“So on top of having to wait 30 minutes, I had to bag my own stuff! And I didn’t get paid to do it.”

Walmart Return Policy

Returning Walmart.com Items:

  • May be returned or replaced by mail within 90 days of purchase.

In-store purchases:

  • Get your returned or replaced items at your nearest Walmart store.
  • 90 day return window from date of receipt.

“Returns are available on almost everything Walmart sells,” the retailer states.

“Your purchase history on Walmart.com displays the last date eligible for a return or replacement.”

“Walmart has forgotten what customer service is,” someone commented below Castle’s post.

The self-checkout situation at some Walmart stores is so dire that one shopper shared how they simply left to go somewhere else.

“Is this our world now?” said the shopper after being confronted by long lines and no open registers.

Other retailers have also come under fire as they implement in-store changes that are negatively impacting some customers.

These changes include self-checkout item limits, the removal of certain checkouts, receipt checks, and other anti-theft measures.

Kroger had to apologize to some customers for its self-checkout procedures, which were considered “beyond ridiculous.”

Meanwhile, Target’s staffing problems caused customers to abandon their carts as lines were so long that food spoiled.
