ENLIGHTEN THEM

Bath & Body Works is famous for its three-wick candle sales, which only happen a few times a year.

Most customers were excited about the opportunity to stock up months for spooky season before its official arrival.

“I went yesterday [and] I bought what I came for and I love all the perfumes, by far my favorite collection I have,” commented one customer.

“I’ve already placed my order,” said another.

“I loved!” a third exclaimed.

I worked at Bath & Body Works – I had to offer new products to customers when they handed over an empty bottle at any time

Still, others weren’t as enthusiastic, criticizing Bath & Body Works for releasing the collection so early and for discounting the Stranger Things collaboration candles.

“It’s July!!! Stop it! This is why I can never buy any Halloween stuff, it’s always gone in the summer,” said an angry customer on a wire on Facebook.

“It’s too early for Halloween,” wrote another.

“Eww. I bought Stranger Things candles the day they came out. $30 each, only to see they’re now on sale for $13. What a rip off,” said an angry third.

Here are the scents you can purchase from the collection:

  • Steve’s Spoons
    • Inspired by Scoops Ahoy and the character Steve
  • Argyle Pineapple Pizza
    • Inspired by Surfer Boy Pizza and named after an employee, Argyle
  • Cafe Hopper
    • Inspired by Jim Hopper, Hawkins Police Chief
  • Eleven Waffles
    • Inspired by Eleven’s fixation on frozen waffles

The Code Orange offering also appears to exclude some of the most beloved new items from the Halloween collection.

FEELING LEFT OUT

Three-wick candles with special toppers and lids are not discounted.

For example, the Vampire blood three-wick candle with standard lid costs $12.95.

In contrast, the Wicked Vanilla Woods the candle with a golden snake on the lid still costs $39.95.

The trend Eternal Magic three-wick candle with a haunted house design on top is also $69.95 and is an online exclusive.

“They are definitely more expensive this year,” commented one customer.

Those who still want to take advantage of the Code Orange promotion should act quickly, as it only runs until July 29th at 5:59 am EST.

The sale is likely part of Bath & Body Works CEO Gina Boswell’s mission set earlier this year to “go where the customer wants.”

Bath & Body Works also recently sent vouchers in a “privacy” deal to shoppers who purchased some fan-favorite items.
