Stacy Hicks criticized the Kroger app after she apparently received items she didn’t order.

Hicks shared his rant and warning on Facebook publish.

Deliveries made through the Kroger app can be sent via Instacart.

Hicks said he had previously placed orders this way without any problems until he encountered a problem recently.

The buyer claimed she was overcharged when she tried to buy bananas.

“First I asked for 5 bananas, I got 5 bunches of bananas,” she said.

“I laughed at that.

“I noticed an extra charge from Kroger of $77.71 at my bank.”

Hicks explained how this led her to check her order and discover several other issues with the delivery.

“I check the receipt,” she added.

My $89 order cost $183,” cries Kroger shopper whose card was charged twice – store’s strict policy left him in the red

“There are several items listed as “replacements” that I neither ordered nor received.”

The buyer was furious and shared screenshots of the replacements made.

Hicks also added that she would contact Kroger customer service to complain about her experience.

Kroger website explained that buyers can reject substitutions made to orders.

How to contact Kroger

The retailer offered customers several ways to contact its customer service team for issues like overcharging.

“If you do not wish to accept the replaced items, you may refuse them upon delivery or request a refund via the website or mobile app in accordance with our Return Policy,” the store said.

Kroger explained that these could also be rejected on orders picked up in store.

Hicks wasn’t the only Kroger shopper to be angered by the apparent overcharges.

One customer stated that he has been constantly charged for plastic bags that did not arrive with the delivery.

Kroger charges shoppers for plastic bags, and the amount varies depending on state law.

This shopper said he was charged 10 cents each for six bags in his delivery order, but only received three.

The US Sun has reached out to Kroger for comment.
