A CUSTOMER has complained online that his Walmart delivery was a “disaster”.
The retail titan responded to a shopper’s social media complaint venting about a complaint at the supermarket.
Social media has provided a platform for millions of people to air their grievances against the world’s biggest companies.
Sometimes they even get a response.
This was the case of Alida, who complained about a delivery order at X.
THE CLAIM
Alida said her order contained a wrong charge.
She tagged Walmart in the post, saying there was an “error made in the order.”
The user said they were charged for delivery when they should have received free shipping.
While she didn’t say she’s a Walmart+ subscriber, that’s typically how shoppers get free shipping from the chain.
Furthermore, she was missing an item.
“I’m out of a gallon of ice cream,” she said.
She then commented on the apparent inconsistency of the company’s service.
“Every time I order groceries for you, it’s a disaster,” she said. “You have great Walmarts and terrible Walmarts.”
Walmart responded to the post.
“Alida, your order is important to us,” they said.
The company offered to chat via direct messages.
MORE COMPLAINTS
As one of the largest organizations in the world, Walmart faces several common complaints.
Many complained about products being locked in the store.
But one person recently received an order from the store that was still locked.
The store launched an investigation into a “crazy” self-checkout issue.
Recently, a shopper was blocked from entering a Walmart.
Walmart is making a quiet change to its self-checkouts.
