The DENNY’S location has closed for good, shocking some residents.

The Denny’s in Ashland, Ohio, closed last week, locals said.

The breakfast chain lost several locations last year amid industry disruptions.

Now, the town on the outskirts of Akron has lost its place.

It was located at 378 Route 250.

The company has about 1,500 locations, according to its website.

‘SO SAD’

Diners reacted to the closure on Facebook.

“I love Denny’s,” one said in one post. “It’s so sad that they are closing.”

They added a disappointed face emoji.

“My wife and I eat there a lot!” another said. “Wow, what a shock!!”

Even non-regular customers agreed.

“So sad!” one said. “I didn’t eat there often, I just hate missing another place to eat.”

One commenter said July 21 was the site’s last day.

The next closest location is in Mansfield, about 20 minutes west.

However, a Facebook user said the location is also closing.

An employee at the Mansfield Denny’s confirmed the closure, although he did not know the closing date.

TO SWITCH OFF

It’s unclear whether the closure in Ashland is related to a larger closure of Denny’s locations in Ohio and Michigan.

Denn-Ohio, a major franchisee in the region, closed 10 stores after filing for bankruptcy in the fall.

This included many in the Buckeye State.

Another Denny’s in Pennsylvania recently closed.

Lubbock, Texas, lost one of its two locations.

Denny’s rival Perkins has plans to renovate its facilities.
