DESPITE it being the middle of summer, Spirit Halloween is opening its doors to fall fanatics.
The world’s number one Halloween store is opening select locations nationwide.
Spirit Halloween announced in June that it would open more than 1,500 stores this year.
Several locations opened on August 1 and more will open throughout the month.
While some people are excited to get spooky celebrations started, others just want to enjoy the summer.
“I saw a Spirit Halloween appear in my town. You guys are too early, bro,” he wrote a person in X.
Another customer he said they “literally skidded off the road” and into the parking lot when they saw the store was open, but admitted it “feels early” to start shopping.
“But I will allow it. Start a spooky season.”
Some joked that the retailer was celebrating “Summerween.”
Most of the time, shoppers can’t wait to get into stores.
“I’m so excited for Spirit Halloween to open I might cry,” another shopper wrote on X.
“It’s crazy how you walk through the doors of a Spirit Halloween and suddenly life seems worth living again.” commented another customer.
TOO EARLY?
Customers had mixed reactions when Walmart began stocking shelves with popular fall flavors.
TikTok creator Markie Devo (@markie_devo) shared several new Halloween-inspired treats hitting shelves.
Kit Kat Ghost Toast, Glow-in-the-Dark Oreos and Reese’s Werewolf Tracks are just a few that have already been spotted in stores.
A Walmart shopper was happy to find pumpkin spice coffee at Walmart in early July and said she was “pretending it was October.”
Spirit of the season
Sprit Halloween announced that more than 1,500 stores will open this year.
To find the location closest to you, use the store locator app on the Spirit website.
The company has branches in the USA and Canada.
Unfortunately, not everyone shares the excitement.
“As much as I want to try it, it’s too early, like relax, wait until August or September. It’s already summer, but damn,” one person commented.
“Man, I love Halloween, but it can wear me out this early,” another user commented.
Another person said at this rate there will be Christmas items in stores next month.
Stores like Michaels, TJ Maxx and Home Goods have also released Halloween and fall decorations and accessories.
Dollar Tree shoppers found a $1.25 value for a popular Michael Halloween decoration that costs $30.
And here’s how to get a classic Halloween accessory from Pottery Barn for just $1.25.
