A KROGER shopper was left furious after the store’s failure to refund her in a timely manner left her without a working phone.
The customer called the online grocery chain to express frustration about how the refund issue affected her budget.
The Kroger shopper explained the situation in an publish from July 31st.
She noted that as of July 18, she had been waiting for a refund from Kroger on an order she placed on July 12.
The buyer complained that she counted the refunded money in her budget and was unable to pay the phone bill due to the store’s delay in processing the refund.
Hence, your phone has been switched off.
“I still haven’t received my refund,” she said. “I’m furious this is happening.”
Kroger promptly responded to the situation and apologized for the delay in refunding, thanking the shopper for bringing the matter to the store’s attention.
I have been waiting for a refund since July 18th from a July 12th order. Due to budgeting to have that money and not having it, my phone was disconnected. I still haven’t received my refund. I’m furious this is happening.”

The grocer promised to resolve the issue and asked if the buyer had called customer service yet.
The Kroger customer has not yet responded to Kroger’s comment.
PROTESTED PAYMENT
It wasn’t the first time Kroger shoppers had payment issues at the grocery chain.
In another case, a customer was charged five times what she was supposed to pay at the gas pump.
Despite purchasing just $33.05 worth of gas, the buyer alleged that Kroger placed a pending charge of $150.50 on his debit card.
“Why did you just put a pending charge on my debit card for over 5 TIMES the amount I paid for gas!?!?!?!?!?!?!” angered the customer.
She was especially angry considering this wasn’t the first time this had happened to her.
The buyer noticed the same thing happened last year and was told the correct amount would be charged within a few days.
“Last year it blocked my debit card because my account didn’t have $150 to use,” she said.
How to contact Kroger
The retailer offers customers several ways to contact its customer service team for issues like overcharging.
The customer was unable to purchase groceries until the charge was processed correctly.
“Fortunately this time my card was not blocked,” she said. “But WTF???? 5X THE AMOUNT??? WHY????????????”
Other Kroger customers also criticized the online grocer for payment issues.
One customer was overcharged $52 and claimed the cashier’s “rude” solution was “ridiculous.”
Another Kroger customer warned others about an app change that “overcharged” her $77.71.
