A TIKTOKER shared a side hustle he tested that’s perfect for teens and only takes 30 minutes to complete.
Mark has been trying different side hustles to see which ones are worth it.
On your TikTok (@unfolded finances), he explained how to earn $1,050 a week cleaning pools.
He started the video suggesting calling a friend to help you finish the job.
“Residential pools are constantly full of bugs and leaves that you have to remove daily,” he said.
He suggested going to Google Earth and seeing which houses around you have a pool. If you know your neighbors have pools, you can also go door-to-door.

You can offer to clean them daily for $15, and a pool skimmer only costs about $10, so you make a profit instantly.
Mark said it takes about 30 minutes to jump into the pool and pull it out, but you can also buy an extension pole and clean it without having to swim.
He suggested that teenagers take advantage of being out of school and try to do ten houses every day for a week – about five hours a day.
“It’s over $1,000 a week to basically swim with your friends,” Mark said.
“I wish I could have avoided this hustle and bustle when I was in high school and having fun with my friends all summer.”
Some people suggested charging more in the comments. One viewer said he pays the pool guy $50 per visit.
CLEANING TEAM
Mark also shared a trash can side hustle that made him $8,400 in one week.
“I always saved this side hustle to do with my friends during the summer and we would make money,” he captioned the video.
He suggested going door to door and offering to clean neighbors’ trash cans using just a hose and some soap.
Since most people have hoses at home, just bring soap.
Mark charged $15 per trash can and said cleaning it usually takes 20 minutes.
Side hustles and tax implications
Extra income earned from side hustles may need to be reported to the IRS.
If you receive more than $600 in gross payments from a selling platform like eBay, the site will issue you a Form 1099-K to use on your tax return.
Individuals must calculate their adjusted gross income, taxable income, and deductions for the year.
Once they have this, they can use the 1040-ES form to calculate estimated taxes.
He cleaned 20 cans a day, earning $2,100 a week and $8,400 a month.
But viewers weren’t too sure about the price.
“$15 a can?? I’ll give the kids $5 maybe!” commented one viewer.
Another viewer said he does this sideways movement with a pressure washer and doesn’t recommend loading that much.
“The number of people who will say yes to $5 will far outnumber those who will say yes to $15. [The] $5 will make you more money in the long run,” they wrote.
Another TikToker shared a perfect side hustle for next Halloween that could earn you $12,000.
Check out the Craigslist hustle that pays over $175 per hour.
