A THRIFT store shopper shared his success after winning a $250 watch hidden among useless jewelry

Matt Bettencourt, better known as Retro Toy Envy online, is a thrift store dealer.
He scours local Goodwill stores and estate sales for bargains he can turn a profit on.
In a recent YouTube videoMatt revealed what happened after spotting a rare watch at the thrift store.
The watch was nowhere to be seen, but buried among the rubbish in a mysterious jeweled jar.
However, Matt spotted the retro-looking Seiko through the glass and decided to bet on the $200 pot.
Emptying the bottle at home, the dealer discovered the watch was the 1980s Seiko Pulse Meter.
“What makes this so special is that it measures your pulse,” he explained.
What’s more, this thrift store bargain was in excellent condition.
“It’s in beautiful condition, and I actually don’t think it’s ever been used,” he said.
Matt did some research and saw that he could sell it on eBay for $250.
This meant I would make a profit on the entire $200 pot with just a single item.
“Vintage clocks are in high demand,” Matt said.
Previously, he found a highly sought-after Seiko with an orange dial at Goodwill.
Buying it for $130, he sold it to another buyer in the parking lot immediately afterward for $500.
