GOOD AS GOLD?

Most gold records are not actually made of gold.

Instead, a vinyl record is vacuum metallized and colored to create the effect.

However, this does not stop them from becoming highly valuable collectors’ items.

The highest price ever paid for a gold record was $91,000, the amount a Beatles fan shelled out for a Hey Jude plaque, formerly owned by John Lennon’s son, Julian Lennon.

Or if a rock and roll poster that was hanging in your bedroom is now valued at $447,000.
