And perhaps the best part of all? It’s so easy that anyone can do it.

Crowe Alianne Joined a Money Saving Facebook Group Extreme Coupons and Bargains in the UK and posted a photo of the items she was able to purchase for free.

These include Fairy Max Power, which usually retails for £3, Fairy Fresh in wash scent boosters, £5.40 and a pack of Always Platinum sanitary napkins from £3.40.

Deciding not to be a gatekeeper, she revealed all and asked shoppers: “Be sure to check your coupons and get a receipt at the self-service checkout.

“I received these three items for free using Tesco coupons.”

And she wasn’t the only delighted customer who scored some freebies.

Another happy shopper named Gethin shared a photo of his receipt and explained exactly how the coupons work in a little more detail.

“I went to Tesco to buy some things so I got a receipt at the end for some free Ariel pods (for my mum) but to get them for free you need this coupon (I got it from self checkout after paying),” he wrote.

“I need a club card to get them for free, or pay 70 cents without a club card, it only works in the store and not at gas stations (to get the coupons).”

Elsewhere, Shona Robbie also rushed online and shared a photo of her stacked stroller.

A Tesco store took the step of checking people on camera before they could enter due to an epidemic of shoplifting

“I’m not sure if it was just random, but I saw a few left over on the self-scanners, so some obviously got them,” she wrote.

“I paid for my purchases and got these three coupons with my receipt, then went back to get them completely free (Fairy Gel, Flash spray and Febreeze refills as seen above).

“Every little helps, they say.”

The post quickly racked up numerous likes and comments, with many eager to find out more.

“Our Tesco only had one of the items. If you went to the bigger stores in the neighboring town, you could get it.

When do supermarkets launch yellow sticker bargains?

The length of time supermarkets reduce their products varies between stores.

Here’s a rough supermarket-by-supermarket guide:

Aldi

Aldi uses a red sticker to show reductions on fresh produce such as bread, meat, fruit and vegetables.

This is when they reach the last day of validity.

Items with red stickers are most commonly found at opening and closing times.

IN

Reduction times may vary from store to store, but are most likely to occur close to closing time.

Asda

Asda said Which? that the yellow stickers are applied twice a day – morning and evening.

Cooperative

The Co-op told The Sun that its reduced clearance prices are usually applied around four hours before the store closes.

Lidl

Lidl has a similar procedure to Asda and Aldi with twice-daily reductions.

However, individual stores may choose to reduce prices throughout the day.

Morrison

Online shoppers said Morrisons has the best bargains first thing in the morning.

However, the store said Which? There are no specific times for yellow sticker price reductions.

Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s told The Sun that it is at the discretion of the store manager to offer discounts.

However, shoppers have reported that the best deals are in the evening from 6pm onwards.

Tesco

Tesco said there is no specific time for the reduction, but again, most people have found prices to be reduced from 6pm.

Waitrose

As with most other stores, Waitrose shoppers said the best reductions are found before closing.

However, the store stated that there is no specific time for the yellow stickers to be applied.

“Lots of different deals people are getting,” wrote one.

A second commented: “Yesterday I got a Fairy, Flash and £4 off £20 spent on clothes.”

He also noted: “I received the Flash spray today in my Tesco express.”

Elsewhere, another shared her top tip for grabbing a bargain during your next visit.

“Also check your app, if you use it I found a voucher for a pack of Lenor Boosters,” the bargain hunter advised.
