A REDDIT user who identified himself as an Olive Garden employee reportedly revealed the exact brand of the restaurant’s breadsticks and the secret ingredient to replicating them at home.

Customers have been trying to replicate Olive Garden’s baguettes since the restaurant opened in 1982.

Luckily for everyone, an employee shared exactly how they make the delicious side dish in a Reddit thread.

“Olive Garden baguettes are just Franz brand baguettes,” they wrote in a thread about employee secrets.

They initially said the frosting was just butter and garlic salt, but they quickly corrected themselves.

“It’s margarine, not butter. I forgot there is a difference,” they said.

Other Olive Garden employees also clarified that the restaurant uses liquid margarine that is “applied” with a brush.

I come home smelling like garlic. I always have to get the smell out of my beard.

Olive Garden Employee

Franz Italian Breadsticks come in packs of 24 for just $6.79 at Chef’s Shop.

The label says you can put them in the oven at 350 degrees for just 10 minutes to prepare them.

However, another Olive Garden employee said the restaurant bakes its products at 375 degrees and rotates them as they cook.

EATING GARDEN

A different Redditor who also claimed to work at Olive Garden revealed more store secrets in another thread on the platform.

I worked at Taco Bell and people don’t realize that ordering is a ‘game changer’ when you want your own toppings

“I work in the bread department at Olive Garden. All I do every day is make glorious baguettes. Ask me anything,” he wrote, inviting people to question him for information.

The first question was how many breadsticks the store goes through every night.

“Super rough estimate, but in a five-hour shift we go through about 120 pans with 18 sticks per pan, so we estimate 2,000 per night,” he wrote.

“I come home smelling like garlic. I always have to get the smell out of my beard.”

SAY CHEESE

Last year, Olive Garden nearly broke the internet when it started selling one of its most popular non-food items: cheese graters.

Parmesan grated tableside with the iconic hand grater is a vital part of the restaurant dining experience.

The graters went on sale for $15 just before the holiday season and sold out almost immediately.

But it’s not all bad news, as the cheese grater can be purchased at Amazon for $23 and has been described as the “Ferrari of cheese graters”.

Fans of the store could also purchase socks featuring designs of the beloved soups, salads and baguettes for $30, pajama bottoms for $42 and shirts for $27 each.

In other food news, Starbucks is making “microadjustments” to cup sizes, but fans still noticed.

Meanwhile, Taco Bell fans call the launch of the restaurant’s newest snack the “best news” they’ve heard all year.
