With a quick visit to Craigslist, she was able to earn thousands by taking surveys.

Natalia Fischer (@investwithnat) shares financial videos with his nearly 60,000 followers on TikTok.
On a video starting in January, Fischer explained how he made thousands of dollars with an easy job.
“This side hustle earns me $175 for an hour of my time and it’s nothing more than doing research,” the content creator began.
In the video’s caption, Fischer shared that he earned $2,700 by taking surveys in 2021.

“I’ll be doing this side job in 2024!” she wrote.
She explained that in most of the surveys she participated in, she tested a product or service and gave feedback.
“Companies will pay for your opinion and feedback,” she shared in the text overlay.
Fischer said she found research studies on Craigslist, which she admitted “seem so shady.”
She advised her followers to locate the studies through the listing site and fill out the corresponding surveys.
The TikToker noted that surveys would likely ask demographic questions, such as your employment status and experiences with a specific product.
“If you fit the requirements, they will call or schedule you to come and do the research,” she said.
She shared that she was paid with gift cards like Visa gift cards or Amazon gift cards, direct deposit, or cash.
Fischer pointed out two disadvantages of research studies, including the fact that there aren’t many of them and that you need to qualify.

The first focus group he participated in was about social media. He received $175 for spending 90 minutes on a Zoom call.
Two weeks after the focus group, the businessman received a check in the mail for $175.
Side hustles and tax implications
Extra income earned from side hustles may need to be reported to the IRS.
If you receive more than $600 in gross payments from a selling platform like eBay, the site will issue you a Form 1099-K to use on your tax return.
Individuals must calculate their adjusted gross income, taxable income, and deductions for the year.
Once they have this, they can use the 1040-ES form to calculate estimated taxes.
“While it didn’t necessarily sound like a scam, I wondered how and why I would get paid to do something as fun as sharing my opinion on a specific topic,” he said.
Filipe noted that focus groups could be individual or group interviews and that they varied in length, ranging from 10 minutes to an entire day.
He shared that the average salary was $150 for 90 minutes and that his salary benchmark was at least $50 for 30 minutes to an hour.
From November 2023 to April 2024, Filipe earned an average of US$2,845 per month.
Payments are made in a variety of ways, including Visa virtual gift cards, direct deposits, personal checks, cash, PayPal, mailed checks, Zelle, or Amazon gift cards.
