The last season of Abbott Elementary is packed with cameos from internet stars. Since premiering in 2021, the Emmy-winning workplace comedy set in an underfunded Philadelphia public school has consistently woven internet culture into its plots — and the show’s quick-fire, blink-or-you’ll-miss-it jokes , routinely go viral online. It makes sense given that Abbott Elementary creator and star Quinta Brunson got her start in comedy making online videos, producing series for BuzzFeed and other platforms that are now established in lexicon of internet culture.

Now, familiar faces from TikTok and YouTube videos are getting their moment to shine in a traditional sitcom. See the viral stars who made appearances on Abbott Elementary below.

Quinta Brunson

Quinta Brunson was regularly presented in videos on the different BuzzFeed channels before starting to work on his own projects that he presented to digital networks.

In 2019, after some of her videos went viral, Brunson became popular as a cast member and writer on the HBO show. A black lady sketch show in the show’s first season – his only season because he ended up selling his show to ABC. She got it Abbott Elementary chosen and currently serves as the show’s creator, writer and executive producer. She also plays the cheerful and optimistic teacher Janine Teagues.

Zack Raposa

Zack Fox has made a name for himself on social media as a professional X troll and rapper. Both talents were put to use when he appeared on producer Kenny Beats’ YouTube series “The Cave.” On the show, he invites well-known rappers to his studio, where he makes a beat and they freestyle over his new creation. Rappers like Vince Staples, Doja Cat, Lil Yatchy and Rico Nasty stopped by his studio for an episode of “The Cave.”

Fox teamed up with Kenny and did what he does best: cause mayhem. He got into the booth and they made “Jesus is The One (I Got Depression),” a profoundly unserious song that took off on social media, paving the way for the song to reach No. 1 on Spotify’s U.S. viral charts. is Kenny’s most popular song. popular video with over 9 million views and they made a Genius “Verified” video where they detailed the lyrics.

About Abbott, he plays Janine’s deadbeat ex-boyfriend and rising drug prevention rapper, Tariq. After they break up, Tariq goes from being a starving artist, taking advantage of Janine, to becoming a rapper touring the school with FADE (this show’s version of the DARE show). He appears throughout the series, most notably recently moderating a panel as president of the PTA.

Sabrina Brier

Most people have a friend like Sabrina Brier–or all the characters she plays in her painfully honest sketches about friendships and relationships. A lot of her skits have a moment where she’s talking to someone and they say something a little too real or a little too honest and it catches her off guard, to which she says “OH!” She became omnipresent on TikTok.

Brier made an appearance in the fourth episode of the third season as Jessca, a substitute teacher for Janine’s class. She took her pseudo Valley girl accent and vocal voice to the hallways of Abbott Elementary in just one episode.

Casey Frey

Casey Frey’s appearance in Abbott It’s a welcome surprise. He got his start on the now-defunct short-video platform Vine with a few viral moments — most notably, his “Get TF out of my way, type” video. Since his Vine days, he is moved to TikTok, where he has gained over a million followers, with many of his videos garnering over a million views. In Abbott, it seems to the public that he plays a FADE rapper in the same vein as Tariq – a nonsense rhymer who warns elementary school students about the dangers of drugs. He totally embodies the character, and honestly, his character needs a bigger arc.

JaBria McCullum

AbbottThe child actors, who make up the titular school students, are highly regarded for excellent comedic timing. As the show’s popularity grew, so did calls for seven-year-old TikTok star JaBria McCullum to join the cast. She is one of the many characters in her spiritual brother’s TikTok series, “Are You Smarter Than a Preschooler?” where he asks children questions like “Who fought in WW2?” and “Spell Mississippi,” the results of which are absolutely lovely.

The internet’s calls were finally answered in episode nine of this season, where she played one of Gregory’s students asking what she should do if a tooth fell out. Just like the other young actors in the series, she knows how to steal a scene.
