On Monday, Hot Ones shared a preview clip of the YouTube show’s upcoming interview with the Wicked star on Instagram.
Social media publish was subtitled, “@Ariana Grande it was so real for that.
“Where do you think she will land on the scale? Find out Thursday at 11 a.m. ET.”
In the clip, Ariana, 31, asked host Shawn Evans: “What do you expect from my performance today?”
In what has become her normal, high-pitched voice, the Thank You, Next singer continued, “Where do you think I’m going to rank on the scale from DJ Khaled to Lorde? Where do you think I’m going to rank?”

Impressed by his research, Shawn responded with a laugh, “That’s the scale.”
In a deeper, more natural voice, Ariana boasted, “I do my homework,” before repeating, “Where do you think I’ll be?”
“I will, Lord Leaning,” Shawn responded, prompting Ariana to say, “That’s generous.”
The host continued, “But whatever, that’s how it should happen, I think.”
“That’s so cool. That’s a lie and it’s cool. Thank you,” Ariana joked.
In the comments section of the post, fans commented on her fluctuating voice with one person writing: “She changes her voice every time she appears on my feed.
“I hate this new voice,” commented another.
A third joked: “Ariana Grande looks like a robotic version of Ariana Grande.”
CHANGES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SENTENCE
Earlier this summer, Grande explained why her voice changed mid-sentence on a podcast.
The Break Free singer appeared in a two-part special Pod crushed episode on June 12th and 17th.
On the podcast, hosted by Penn Badgley, 37, Grande opened up about her childhood, Broadway origins and acting alongside her best friends.
The Love Me Harder singer also revealed why she continues to cast TV serial killers as the protagonists of her music video. Penn appeared in the singer’s video The Boy Is Mine after playing a killer in You.
During the second episode, many fans were intrigued by Ariana’s sudden voice change mid-sentence while speaking to Penn and podcast co-hosts Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari.
A listener posted a clip of the moment on X, formally Twitter, with the caption: “This voice change is sending me. Normal Ariana was leaving for a second.”
In the video, Ariana said, “That was the only thing I thought of,” while the hosts laughed at her comment.
“That’s how I felt. I was like, ‘What happened?'” She continued in a deeper, huskier voice than fans are used to.
Her voice then rose several octaves as she came back and said, “Yes, I have been writing a lot and there may be more, but I would like to make a deluxe at some point.
“THE VOICE CHANGE OMG,” another surprised fan commented on the video.
Ariana responded to comments about her voice change by explaining: “habit (speaking like that for two years) and also vocal health. I intentionally change the placement of my voice (high/low), often depending on how much I’m singing.
The We Can’t Be Friends singer added, “I’ve always done that BYE.”
HEALTHY VOICE
Ariana changing the tone of her voice to help with her work is nothing new.

“But it sounds a little harsh, but I’m trying, but I usually talk, like, lazy and serious, but I’m trying to put it in a healthier way.”
Shaking her head, Ariana added, “But I look like an idiot.”
