Britney, 42, took to Instagram to share a brief clip of herself wearing the Versace dress, but this time the once long dress was now noticeably shorter.

The famous hitmaker was feeling herself in the clip as she smiled and tossed her long blonde hair to the side as she gave fans a look at her dress.

“Updated version of my 2002 Versace dress,” Britney wrote in the caption.

“I’m not Blake Lively, but I like… showing my legs,” she added.

The dress, which Britney wore to the Versace Spring show in Milan in 2002, was back in the conversation after Blake, 36, rocked it at the It Ends with Us premiere in New York.

“It’s Britney’s real dress,” said the Gossip Girl alum People while on the red carpet.

Blake was very fond of the pop princess’ dress, while she gushed over the look, telling the outlet, “It should be at the Smithsonian or the Met,” but added that instead, “It’s on me.

The Hollywood star, who is married to Ryan Reynolds, also took to her Instagram Stories to pay tribute to the legendary artist.

“Today’s mood. The ultimate queen who made us want to shine, write and share our stories,” she said.

Blake also gave credit to Britney as she “made us want to shine and inspire awe, with strength and joy and immensely hard work.”

“Thank you for your example and your contribution to women telling their stories,” Blake wrote in the sweet message.

FIGHT IN THE TOGETHER

While promoting the new film, Blake and the rest of the It Ends With Us cast excluded star and director Justin Baldoni from press interviews and red carpet appearances.

They even unfollowed him on social media, but he still follows them.

Fans noticed that the film’s male lead, Justin, 40, was left out and took to TikTok to gather clues as to what caused the riff.

ENDS WITH US CAST

It Ends With Us is a film based on the novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover and features a star-studded cast.

Blake Lively – Lily Bloom (also producer)

Brandon Sklenar – Atlas Corrigan

Justin Baldoni – Ryle Kincaid (also director)

Hasan Minhaj – Marshal

Jenny Slate – Allysa

A source said The Hollywood Reporter that “there was a fracture between the filmmakers in the post-production process, where two different cuts of the film emerged”.

Justin directed and starred in the film and Blake was the main star and produced it.

Blake even brought in her husband, Ryan, to write an important scene early in the film.

“We help each other. He works on everything I do. I work on everything he does. So his victories, his celebrations are mine and mine are his,” she said. AND! News.

Ryan wrote a fair amount of dialogue for the rooftop scene, despite It Ends With Us having a script by Christy Hall.

However, sources told the outlet that he didn’t write the entire scene.

With Blake being the film’s producer, she had a lot of say in the creative direction, allowing the star to make her own version of the film.

Sources tell THR that Blake “commissioned a version of the film from editor Shane Reid, who was editor of Deadpool & Wolverine, and who cut the Lively-directed music video for Taylor Swift’s I Bet You Think About Me.”

However, it is unclear whether her cut was the ending used, which was edited by Oona Flaherty and Robb Sullivan.

A source “downplayed” rumors of friction and said it is normal to have multiple cuts to a film, with the team agreeing on the final cut.

MORE DRAMA

In a report of Daily Mail uploaded on Friday, sources revealed more information about what happened during the filming period.

A source told the outlet about his alleged approach to sensitive subjects, such as domestic violence.

The film based on Colleen Hoover’s best-selling book follows Lily Bloom, played by Blake, a florist who falls in love with a neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid.

While they were dating, their relationship became toxic and portrayed domestic violence.

The source said: “During the scenes depicting the abuse, Justin did not consider Blake’s character’s perspective, focusing only on what he believed to be the abusive male point of view.

“His approach was very chauvinistic, creating a tense atmosphere on set.

“To direct such a serious and important film about domestic violence without allowing women to be included in this process is disturbing.”

The source also claimed that Justin “couldn’t recognize” Blake and Colleen’s roles on set.

They were producers and writers.

The source also claimed that Justin took her requests for rewrites “very personally.”

The source said: “Without Colleen’s book, none of this would have been possible.

“Parts of the film were rewritten under Colleen’s instructions – they had to be.

“He made the script’s decisions very personally, even though that wasn’t the intention.”
