JELLY Roll has decided to quit social media after online trolls attacked her weight.
Jelly Roll’s wife Bunnie Xo, 44, opened up about her husband’s decision on her Dumb Blonde podcast.
She shared a clip of the episode on his TikTok, and the full episode will be released tomorrow, April 24th.
In the video, Bunnie, whose real name is Alyssa DeFord, wore her blonde hair in a casual ponytail and a gray Chevy t-shirt.
She sat in a red velvet chair and there was a bright neon sign that said “Dumb Blonde” behind her.
In the clip, she said: “My husband got off the internet because he’s tired of being bullied about his weight.
“And like, it makes me want to cry because he’s the sweetest angel, baby.”
She continued: “My husband doesn’t show it to you, but I’m going to have a very vulnerable moment here – it hurts him.”
Bunnie added that the internet thinks it can say whatever it wants about celebrities without affecting them emotionally.
She aggressively opposed this view and added: “Do you know how many people kill themselves because of being bullied a year?
“Enough is enough. Don’t bully people because you never know where they are mentally.”
The podcaster continued, “There are a lot of people who aren’t as strong as me on the internet and they don’t deserve to be bullied.”
Bunnie announced that she would defend all “underdogs” on the internet and would not allow people to lie about her family.
The video was captioned: “It was very therapeutic, I’m not going to lie. It’s coming out Wednesday.”
TIME TO ROLL
In the comments section of the video, the country singer’s fans showed a lot of support for the singer.
One said: “He is a sweet soul. He went through a lot of pain to be able to love as much as he does.”
“We love JELLY and we ROLL in the early hours of the morning!!!!” added another.
A third wrote: “He has been an absolute inspiration to my 14 year old son. My son and I live in bigger bodies and we see Jelly accomplish all these incredible things and take up the space he deserves.”
“Whoever is being mean to him has demons deep down. Because I don’t even know him and he looks so cute,” commented one fan.
A fifth said: “Nah, people need to stop bullying Jelly. This man is striving to improve and he is the kindest soul.”
Jelly Roll’s absence from social media comes after an impressive 30-pound weight loss ahead of her Beautifully Broken tour.
After sharing his new exercise and diet routine, he revealed his weight loss while chatting with People.
He also said he wants to lose another hundred pounds.
