The album is titled The Death of Slim Shady, which promises a new era in his music when it drops this summer.

The rapper was in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan to celebrate the NFL Draft when it was announced.

He created an interesting announcement for the album, making it sound like a commercial for a true crime television show.

The video began with a man in a long beige coat standing in the middle of the street on a foggy night.

Next to it was a message that said, “Next in…Detroit Murder Files.”

The man then began talking about Eminem as if he were the murder victim on the show, while clips of the artist appeared on the screen.

The video included a clip of rapper 50 Cent saying “he’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath” while speaking to the camera as if he was in a documentary.

50 Cent is known for performing with the Venom singer and taking him on stage during his shows.

At the end of the ad, a man hidden behind a blurred face to ensure anonymity said, “I knew it was only a matter of time for Slim.”

The man accidentally moved away from the pixelated blur to reveal that he was Eminem.

Eminem releases surprise album Music To Be Murdered, sending fans into a frenzy

The Death of Slim Shady appears to be the follow-up to his last album, Music to Be Murdered By, released in 2020.

This will be his 12th studio album after releasing his first in 1996 – Infinite.

MARSHAL FANS

Eminem’s fans expressed their full support on social media immediately after the album’s announcement.

One of them said: “The best rapper is here to save us this year. I’ll be fine again, it just takes time.”

“That ending was funny. I forgot how funny Em can be sometimes,” said another about the announcement video.

A third said: “THE DEATH OF SLIM SHADY? I’M ABOUT TO CRY”, with crying emojis.

“That ending was hilarious (this album is going to be AMAZING),” commented one fan.

A fifth mentioned: “But Slim Shady is his best ego, I hope the whole album is Slim Shady.”

“But, I think if the album is called The Death of Slim Shady, it might have some Shady songs,” wrote a sixth.

While all of his fans are excited to hear the new music, it’s clear that some listeners want the original Slim Shady to stand out on the album.
