What happened between Walton Goggins and Timothy Olyphant?

Walton Goggins and Timothy Olyphant starred together in the American crime drama Justified, which aired from 2010 to 2015.

Years after the series ended, in April 2024, Goggins said The Independent that the two actors stopped talking to each other before recording the final scenes.

He said: “We had a difficult time at the end of Justified

“We were so deeply invested in these people we were playing, and they were so opposite at this point in the story.

“I think we were both obsessed with our own views, just carrying the weight of this conflict.”

Olyphant also spoke about his fight with Vanity Fair that same month.

He said: “I loved working with Walt from the beginning, but these actors are a pain in the ass.

“There was a thing where, as the show went on, and especially as the thing came to an end, I would leave the writers’ room.

“They would add things like, “Here’s what we need Walt to do to get the ending we want.”

“So Walt would say that his character would never do that, and then I would say, “God, damn.”

Are they friends now?

In March 2024, both actors found themselves in Thailand working on separate projects.

Olyphant was filming the upcoming sci-fi series Alien, while Goggins was working on the third season of The White Lotus.

Goggins took to Instagram to share photos of the two reunited on a Thai beach.

He captioned the post“Look what a beautiful surprise in Thailand… I managed to meet Raylan Givens for lunch today.

“Talk about the comforts of home… Just what I needed. What a good man. The road we traveled.”

Goggins also told The Independent that their feud was a thing of the past.

He said: “I respect and love him very much, and I feel very respected and loved by him.

“We just needed to take a break and get back together.”

Olyphant also told VF that there was no bad blood between them.

He said: “I’ve always loved this guy and I love working with him, and he’s special.

“I would work with him again in a heartbeat.”
