SZA Left fans were left confused after she shared herself on social media but didn’t attend the Met Gala.
The 34-year-old singer uploaded several preparation photos via her Instagram Story, but completely missed the event.
SZA posted a photo of herself in front of a mirror in a New York bathroom on Monday night.
She wore a white robe that she held over her breasts while she was completely naked underneath.
The star rocked metallic green eye makeup that matched her long acrylic nails.
SZA’s red locks were lightly styled and she wore a pair of pointy elf ears that poked out of her hair.

She held up her phone, which had a Shrek cover on it, and pouted at the camera.
“Garden fairy,” SZA captioned the post.
In the next story, SZA zoomed in on her face on camera as she continued to get glammed up.
A few hours later, the singer shared a video of herself leaving a hotel dressed in a yellow minidress, seemingly ready for an event.

The dress featured purple flower details and a tie detail at the bottom, which hiked up the skirt and exposed SZA’s long legs.
She posed for cameras on a red carpet before getting into a waiting car.
Despite sharing the videos, SZA did not attend the Met Gala and fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their confusion.
“SZA finally leaving the hotel room after 8 hours, I’m crying,” wrote one fan.
“WHERE IS SZA?” asked another.
“SZA only arriving at the Met Gala after the party is sending me girl where were you #MetGala,” said a third.
“SZA girl, where have you been?” asked a fourth.
AFTER PARTY
Although SZA didn’t attend the main event, she did show up to party with other celebrities like Lizzo, Kim Kardashian, and Gigi Hadid.
The Met Gala got off to a rocky start after Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour appeared to break the number one rule of the night.
Anna admitted that people had difficulty interpreting the Sleeping Beauties: Awakening Fashion theme and its dress code, The Garden of Time, at Monday’s event.
Fans predicted that celebrities would wear pajamas on the red carpet for the “sleeping” aspect of the theme, after there was a huge uproar following the theme’s announcement in November.
The star opened up about the event in Today which aired the Monday before the Gala.
“This exhibition broke my cardinal rule,” she said.
“When we came up with the title Sleeping Beauties, it’s wonderful and poetic and romantic, but really, it could be many, many things.”
Met Gala 2024 Theme

The Met Gala 2024 theme is The Garden of Time, which takes inspiration from the Costume Institute’s latest exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, titled Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.
The editor collaborated with Andrew Bolton, curator at The Costume Institute, in defining the dress code.
“I said, ‘What are we going to tell people to wear tonight?’ And he said, ‘Well, what about ‘Garden of Time?'” she recalled.
“So I’m afraid we’ve stirred up a lot of confusion out there, for which I deeply apologize.”
The editor then said she expected to see lots of flowers when asked how people would interpret the theme.
Several fans wore floral outfits, including Sydney Sweeney, Lizzo, Lana Del Rey and Demi Moore.
