Comedian Gary Owen’s wife wasn’t laughing after her ex opened up about their divorce on a recent podcast.
Kenya Duke lashed out at Gary, claiming he doesn’t “respect her boundaries.”

Gary and Kenya were married for nearly 20 years before the couple went through a very public and drawn-out divorce after he cheated on her.
Now it seems time hasn’t healed all wounds, as the 49-year-old funnyman turned serious while appearing on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast.
Gary discussed his divorce with the former NFL star and revealed that Didn’t see his now adult children since their controversial split – and I can’t understand why.
“I take the blame,” he said on the podcast, addressing his current situation with son Austin and daughter Kennedy. “I didn’t make sure my relationship with them was so strong that no matter what anyone told them, they could say, ‘Nah, my dad is good.’

“I just don’t know where things got so bad that I’m just the worst human being on the planet.”
He continued, “At this point, I don’t know how to reconcile the relationship. I’m just letting them know that I love them, I’m proud of them and whenever they call, I’m there.”

But Kenya apparently disagrees with that assessment and posted her answer On Instagram.
“It’s been 3 years,” she wrote, addressing Gary directly. “I’m always kind and nice to you. I purposely never made it awkward. I never bothered you.
“I gave you my suggestions about the situation, but you don’t respect your boundaries. That’s why you discussed it again on social media.
“I don’t know what else to do to help you. Always wishing you all the best.”
Alongside this, she shared an image of text that read: “My growth is no longer feeling the need to address lies.
“The grace and kindness I have shown you is the space to tell lies and false narratives in search of sympathy and attention, without correction.
“You’re a great storyteller…sometimes I get stuck in your versions.”
At this point, I don’t know how to reconcile the relationship.”

Gary was married to Kenya, a businessman and podcast host, from 2003 to 2021, and the complicated battle often became grounds for his stand-up act.
“I’m sure you’ve heard, I’m going through a very messy public divorce,” Gary said in a previous clip he posted it at one of his shows.
“I thought it would be private…the wife had other plans. It is what it is, what are you going to do? I’m not the first to get a divorce.”
Kenya met Gary Owen in the early 2000s at one of his stand-up shows in Los Angeles.
She previously worked in real estate and since 2023 has hosted the Truly Kenya podcast.
Gary is a comedian who has headlined several comedy specials on Showtime and BET.
He also appeared in comedy films such as Daddy Day Care, Little Man, Ride Along and Think Like a Man.
In 2016, Gary and Kenya co-starred in a reality series, The Gary Owen Show, on BET, which followed their lives with their children.
Gary has overcome his failed marriage and is currently engaged.
He welcomed twin sons in July 2023 with his fiancée.
