Jessica is the co-founder of The Honest Company, but the wellness brand has seen its share of ups and downs since its founding in 2011.
The business was valued at $1.7 billion when it went public in 2021, but has now shrunk to $228 million.
The company’s high valuation made Jessica a billionaire, but instead her estimated net worth has dropped from $340 million in 2016 to $100 million now.
“It’s a difficult situation because even if Jessica still has enough money to live well for the rest of her life, four or five years ago people were preparing for her to become a billionaire with this company and generally impressed with the business savvy she demonstrated in growing it,” revealed a close source to celebrity.
“Now, looking back, Jessica probably could have made the same money she did on The Honest Company by dedicating herself full-time to acting, especially if she found her way to some big hits.”
