From 2010 to 2013, Ariana and Victoria starred in Victorious as Cat Valentine and Tori Vega, respectively.

While Victorious may have been Ariana’s big break, Victoria was already a Nickelodeon icon thanks to her role as Lola Martinez on Zoey 101, and there were long-running rumors of jealousy between the two.

Several years ago, Victoria and some of her castmates, minus Ariana, gave an interview about the show, and their various vocal talents.

“One thing you don’t know about Ariana Grande is that she literally sings everything,” Victorious cast member Elizabeth Gillies said in the clip, making Victoria cringe a little.

“You also sing a lot,” praised Daniella Monet, who played Trina Vega on the program.

However, before she could continue with her thought, Victoria butted in and said, “I think we all sing.”

The beat became an instant meme, fueling rumors of a feud.

SO SMOOTH

Now Victoria seems ready to laugh in the clamor.

In a new video she shared on Instagram, the 31-year-old shared a smoothie recipe with Daniella, 35, who she is still friends with.

At one point in the instructional video, Victoria randomly started singing.

“Sing it!” Daniella encouraged, before downplaying her own abilities. “Someone has to sing, it’s not me.”

Victoria immediately responded, “I think we all sing, Daniella,” making both ladies laugh.

“If you use that, it would break the internet,” Daniella replied shocked.

BROKEN INTERNET

In fact, Daniella was right.

Fans went wild on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, for the resurrected Slam.

“OMG I can’t believe you SAID THAT HAHAHAHA,” one person tweeted.

“She literally ended Ariana there,” posted another.

The way Victoria used a meme used against her for so long is so funny,” a third person boasted.

“It’s cool that she could laugh about it now,” noted a fourth.

A BIG FEUD

Ariana and Victoria’s feud dates back to February 2013, when Ariana took to her ask.fm account to apparently call out her co-star.

At the time, fans blamed Grande for Victorious’ cancellation, claiming that her Sam & Cat spin-off series with Jennette McCurdy was the reason it ended.

But the young woman, now 30, pointed the finger at Victoria.

“Honey, the only reason Victorious ended is because some girl didn’t want to do it,” Ariana wrote at the time, via Seventeen.

“She chose to do a solo tour instead of a cast tour. If we had done a cast tour, Nickelodeon would have ordered another season of Victorious while Sam and Cat filmed simultaneously, but she chose otherwise.

That same summer, Victoria went on tour.

She later responded and called out Ariana on Twitter, writing, “Some people would throw someone they consider a friend under the bus just to make themselves look good. #StopBeingAPhony #IfTheyOnlyKnew.”

FINDING PEACE

Feud rumors between Ariana and Victoria circulated for years, but in March 2021, the Zoey 101 alum seemingly shut them down once and for all.

During an appearance on the Chicks in the Office podcast, Victoria opened up about her relationship with Ariana, revealing that “everything is fine.”

“All this drama, whatever it is, it’s all so silly,” she said at the time, via AND! News.

“A lot of it really came from the media, like, fanning these flames and then just people online, like, fanning these flames and making this this huge, crazy thing.”

“I love Ariana, and she’s killing it right now,” Victoria added, “and she’s been really supportive of me and my music. And you know, we text. It’s really cool. So, it’s all good.”
