Earlier in the evening, Doja showed up to the gala in a wet and soggy white apron.
The transparent dress clung tightly to her body, causing many to compare it to a wet plastic bag.
Even some of Doja’s musical colleagues were shocked by her appearance.
“The girls are wet tonight,” commented singer Camila Cabello after noticing Doja.
Once again, X fans scoffed.
“Doja Cat took the ‘have you ever felt like a plastic bag’ lyrics too literally,” one person joked, referencing the lyrics from Katy Perry’s song Firework.

Just before the gala, Doja appeared to have woken up from a nap while wearing what appeared to be a sheet while shopping in New York.
The singer posted a recording of herself at a jewelry counter trying on some potential new accessory.
She had the large white sheet wrapped around her, which she held with her arms.
At one point in the video, Doja accidentally dropped her white clothes, completely revealing her butt and the black panties she was wearing underneath.
She appeared to be topless, however, as the outfit left her fully tattooed back exposed.

In February, a New York stylist said that Doja tends to keep her followers on their toes by showing off a lot of skin.
“Doja doesn’t have her own style and her nude looks are not about good fashion,” Amanda Sanders told The US Sun.
“This means there is no continuity of her showing her thighs or breasts. It’s different every time; Even her hair looks different every time she appears,” she continued.
“Her looks are about Doja’s interpretation of fashion.
“It’s all orchestrated so that people keep guessing who she is.”
Amanda added that Doja could look “a little more put together” and believes her stylists are merging outfits that don’t necessarily go together.
While she believes Doja is “having fun” with her style, she said part of that is due to the “shock factor” of her recent outfits.
“She also still has the almost naked shock value where her nipple is going to come out any minute,” Amanda said.
“Ultimately, it’s a real mix where Doja is just showing off her body.”
