BRITNEY Spears has sparked concerns about her mental health in recent months and US Sun has exclusively learned that her parents may intervene.
Despite Britney’s difficult relationship with her parents – father, Jamie, 71, and mother, Lynne, 69 – they are still extremely concerned about her mental health, claims a source.

According to the source, Britney shows signs of instability that made Jamie decide to take control of her life through her conservatorship starting in 2008.
Jamie fears he may be in a downward mental health spiral and “could even die,” according to a Spears family source.
Britney’s father told friends he’s scared “his daughter will get sick again.”
Her mother and father “worry that her desire to feel free and to do what pleases her leads her to choices where she…or is led by others into problematic situations.

“It’s no secret that Britney has mental health issues [because] this was discussed openly in her court hearings and in the documentation by her and the conservatives.
“At the time she was on a stable, controlled system in lieu of medication and therapy, but now that is over,” the source shared.
TENSE RELATIONS
Britney’s 13-year conservatorship ended in 2021.
“There are clear concerns on Jamie’s part that he sees similarities to how Britney was in 2007 and 2008,” the source continued.
“He knows he was portrayed as the villain by his daughter and the Free Britney movement, but he claims his actions saved her life.
“He fears he may have to try to take a similar step again because her mental well-being appears to be spiraling.
“Jamie has made it clear that he sees signs that Britney is getting sick again, but his hands are tied.
“In his eyes, he fought so hard to save her from ending up dead and now he worries that she’s not okay again,” the source revealed.
CONSERVATION STRUGGLES
“A key factor in this recent issue is that Britney was very angry and helpless about losing her court case to her father for trying to get him to cover legal costs in the conservatorship,” the source shared.
“This fight between them has been problematic for years.

In September 2021, by Britney case was returned to a Los Angeles court where Judge Brenda Penny made a series of bombshell decisions, following her father’s decision to end the conservatorship the previous month.
She decided to free Jamie from her daughter’s guardianship, however, this did not mean the complete end of the guardianship.
Speaking in court, Judge Brenda Penny said: “Based on what I have read in the record and I have read everything. I believe that suspending Jamie Spears is in Britney Spears’ best interest.
“The current situation is unattainable. The court finds that the toxic environment Jamie Spears created needs to be removed today.”
After the judge’s ruling, a temporary conservator was placed in Jamie’s place for about a month.
In early November 2021, Jamie returned to court presenting new legal documents that show he has stopped fighting.
Jamie had previously demanded $2 million in exchange for his resignation, but documents at the time showed he was not seeking any additional compensation.
On November 12, Judge Penny ruled in the pop star’s favor, removing Jamie as conservator without requiring any additional mental examination of Britney.
“Britney feels [Jamie] effectively stole money from her while managing the estate as its conservator for 13 years,” the source said.
Britney alleged that Jamie stole $36 million from her estate during the conservatorship.
When they resolved their dispute in April 2024, Britney was ordered to pay her father’s legal bills worth more than $2 million.
“So losing that case really pissed her off,” the source continued.
“Britney actually lost the case because her father was supported by the courts.
“Guardianship was created through the [Los Angeles] Supreme Court, which meant that business expenses and fees were effectively checked and verified by the case judges over the years.
“At the same time, Britney still suffers guilt and remorse knowing that she has such tense and turbulent relationships with her parents.”
US Sun has reached out to Britney and Jamie’s representatives for comment.
BRITNEY’S HEALTH
Jamie raised concerns about her daughter’s long-term mental health during the end of the conservatorship.
Through his lawyer, Vivien Thoreen, Jamie wrote a motion to the judge defending his choices for managing Britney’s life amid her mental health struggles.
“If the public knew all the facts of Ms. Spears’ personal life, not just her highs but also her lows, all the addictions and mental health issues she has struggled with, and all the challenges of Guardianship, they would Praise Mr. Spears for the work he has done, do not vilify him,” Jamie’s lawyer stated in a previous public announcement.
“But the public does not know all the facts and has no right to know, so there will be no public redemption for Mr.
“The Guardianship provided Ms. Spears with a structure to help her navigate the daily challenges of her personal life, family matters, medical issues and career.
“By nature, the framework includes safeguards to protect the Conservee from self-harm or harm caused by others.
“It is not surprising that Ms. Spears often felt embarrassed or subject to excessive supervision.
“But, at least for most of the last thirteen years, the Conservatory has functioned as intended.
“There is no doubt that the conservatorship saved Ms. Spears from disaster, supported her when she needed it most, protected her and her reputation from harm, and facilitated the restoration of her career,” Jamie’s legal team concluded.
IS BRIT OK?
In the early hours of May 2, 2024, Britney received medical attention for an injury following an alleged altercation with her romantic interest, Paul Soliz.
“A 911 call was received at 12:42 a.m. reporting an injured woman,” the Los Angeles Fire Department told The US Sun.
“No specific details about the injury were provided.
“A paramedic was sent.
“No one was hospitalized [and] there were no police.
“The LAFD left at 1:17 a.m.,” the statement concluded, adding that there were no other people in the vehicle with them.
Several witnesses stated that Britney appeared unstable at the Chateau Marmont location.
She was reportedly yelling at her boyfriend, Paul.
Photos from the scene showed Britney wearing underwear, wrapped in a blanket and holding a pillow to her chest.
The recent incident has sparked new concerns about the star’s mental health.
