ALFONSO Ribeiro has publicly rejected any suggestion that Tyler Perry should help revitalize his career.
The Dancing with the Stars host revealed his feelings about Tyler Perry, 54, after an X user mentioned that the two should work together.
This month, during an interview with Closer weeklyAlfonso, 52, revealed his acting career was over after playing Carlton Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
“It was one of the best roles I’ve been lucky enough to play, but it was also the role that stopped me from acting again because people couldn’t see me as anything else,” he told the outlet.
Apparently in response to the article, a fan tagged Alfonso and the creator of the Madea film series when they tweeted: “@tylerperry needs to renew @alfonso_ribeiro career, I just know he could.
Surprisingly, Alfonso responded to the fan, writing, “I don’t need or want that man to do anything for me.”

The blunt response shocked fans who wondered if there was bad blood between the two actors.
One person responded: “We had a comedian war and a rap battle; Now it’s time for a dramatic confrontation.”
“What does he know that we don’t?” asked another.
“Bro said he’s cool with all of this haha,” added a third.
One fan mentioned, “Whenever they say, ‘that man’ you know it’s bad.”
“’That Man’ feels like there’s more you need to get off your chest. Tell us, this is a safe space,” he prodded for a second.
“The savage level just went off on this. I don’t know what happened, but something happened. Tell the truth, Carlton,” encouraged another X user.
“Ohhh, you guys thought it was Carlton you were talking to, huh? Better leave Alfonz alone,” joked a fourth.
While one fight commentator wrote, “Them acting like ‘Carlton’ is not currently booked on America’s Funniest Home Videos and Dancing with the Stars.”
CAREER STOPPED
Alfonso opened up about how his life changed after starring in the early ’90s NBC sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
As Carlton, he was often the running joke of Will Smith’s self-styled character, while also becoming a fan favorite after memorable moments like when he danced The Carlton.
He shared some regrets about the role when speaking with Closer Weekly, telling the outlet, “Playing Carlton in ‘Fresh Prince’ became a sacrifice.”

“I always said that doing Carlton was the best and worst thing that ever happened to me.”
He further explained that his “sacrifice” almost cost him his acting career.
“It was one of the best roles I’ve ever been lucky enough to play, but it was also the role that stopped me from acting again because people couldn’t see me as anything else.”
HOST WITH MORE
Although he is no longer acting, Alfonso still enjoys life in front of the camera as the host of Dancing with the Stars.
“I’m enjoying being a host and I’m very happy with it,” continued Alfonso.
He also showed love for his co-host, Julianne Hough.
“Julianne and I have incredible chemistry together for the show,” he said. “We really work well together. I’m really enjoying everything I’m doing.”

However, never say never.
“But, yes, I would return to acting if it was exactly the right thing.”
Alfonso and Julianne showed off their chemistry last year when the two shared an impromptu collision outside of the studio.
Julianne danced sensually behind Alfonso, who displayed his own seductive moves that looked nothing like The Carlton.
The 35-year-old showed off her style, getting down and thrusting her hips as she teased the former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star.
Alfonso’s dancing was a little less polished, as he flailed his arms like an unstable, inflatable man outside a used car dealership.
The AFV host grabbed a nearby railing for support.
The pair seemed to go unnoticed by the other crew members, who passed behind them.
