Carly Pearce shares pericarditis diagnosis at age 34 and asks fans for ‘grace’ as she reveals she is ‘changing’ her shows

COUNTRY star Carly Pearce has revealed she has been diagnosed with a heart condition, pericarditis.

In a social media post on Thursday, the 34-year-old said she needs to tone down her upcoming shows due to doctor’s orders.

“I’ve always been transparent and honest about every part of my life, so I feel like this deserves the same honesty,” she said in an Instagram video.

“You know I have been dealing with some health issues and as a result I developed something called pericarditis, which is a heart problem,” he added.

“We’ve all decided that it’s in my best interest, while I’m recovering, to alter my shows a little.

“So if my programs feel a little different, know that it’s because I need to keep my heart rate in check right now.

“And that doesn’t mean I won’t be completely fine, it just means I now need to take this very seriously.”

The singer continued to ask fans for “a little grace” as she tried to figure out how to reconfigure shows given her condition.

She also said that her performances would still be “great” but might “look a little different.”

Fans rushed to the comments section to show their support and thank the country singer for being vulnerable.

“Sending love and prayers for a speedy recovery!” one person wrote.

“Sending love and prayers! I’m glad you shared it, I know it will help someone else too,” said a second.

“Very grateful for the strength and light that you are able to share, even in this challenge,” commented another.

“I’m so proud of you for speaking out. You will undoubtedly help others,” wrote another person.

STILL STILL STRONG

Along with her own shows, Carly also confirmed in the comments section that she will still be a special guest on Tim McGraw’s tour.

She is set to return to open for Tim’s Toledo, Ohio show tonight after a 12-day hiatus.

The tour is scheduled to last for the next month and end in Sacramento, California on June 29th.

Carly will also embark on her own UK/EW Hummingbird tour from February next year.

And that doesn’t mean I won’t be completely fine, it just means I now need to take this very seriously.”

Their new album, Hummingbird, will be released next week on June 7th.

‘NEVER ALONE’

Just two days before sharing her diagnosis, Carly informed fans that she was facing some “scary moments.”

The singer shared a Instagram post of her outside with her dogs, where she noticed that a small butterfly had landed on the stroller.

“It was a difficult week,” she revealed in the caption.

“When my grandmother was dying years ago, she told me to look for her in the butterflies.

“On our walk this morning, this butterfly landed on me and June and made me realize that we truly are never alone in scary times. See you, Mommy,” she continued.

Carly has been dating her drummer, BC Taylor, for the past year following her split from Riley King.

Just hours before her latest video, Carly shared an adorable clip on her Instagram Story of BC playing “drums” with her dog.

The singer was previously married to Michael Ray from 2018 to 2020.
