Ariana Grande Teases Her Actor May Appear in The Boy Is Mine Music Video After Fans Discovered Clues to His Involvement

ARIANA Grande has teased a possible appearance by actor Penn Badgley in her newest music video.

The pop star announced last week that she will release the video for her hit song, The Boy Is Mine, on June 7th.

The song is the eighth from her studio album Eternal Sunshine, which she released earlier this year.

Before the music video’s release, some fans speculated that Ariana, 30, may have included a well-known actor in the project.

Penn, known for his role in hit shows like You and Gossip Girl, is at the top of many fans’ lists.

On Sunday, the Grammy-winning singer teased that the 37-year-old actor could appear in the new video.

Ariana reposted a video to her Instagram Stories, which featured the text: “Not the entire Internet showed up to ask us if Penn is in The Boy is Mine MV.”

The clip showed a group of foxes walking to a back deck and approaching a house, intending to playfully imitate the behavior of curious fans.

The singer added a gif of three cats wagging their tails, accompanied by a thought bubble with a question mark inside.

Ariana’s post was shared on X, formerly Twitter, where fans have been weighing in on the possible collaboration.

“Music video of the year is coming,” one person wrote, while another tweeted, “Oh this is about to be one of her best music videos.”

“This is practically a confirmation haha”, believed a third.

“Wow, Penn Badgley in an Ariana Grande music video? That’s going to be interesting!” a fourth said.

“If he turns into Joe at the end I would make a FREAKING SCREAM,” wrote another person, mentioning his character in You.

FINDING CLUES

Ariana teased a clip from The Boy Is Mine on Instagram last week, which showed someone placing a drink on the edge of a sink and filling it with ice.

The mystery man – who definitely looked like Penn from behind – then put his head under the faucet with the water running.

ANOTHER BIG RELEASE

In addition to focusing on her new album this year, the pop star is also gearing up for the release of the film adaptation of Wicked.

The 2003 Broadway hit, based on the 1995 American novel of the same name, has been turned into a film set to be released on November 27.

The film, directed by Jon M. Chu, stars Ariana as Galinda “Glinda”, the Good Witch.

Ariana’s co-star is Tony Award winner Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba Thropp – aka The Wicked Witch of the West.

Although only Part 1 will be released this year, fans have already named it their “movie of the year” after seeing its official trailer last month.

The film also stars Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq, Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard of Oz and Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible.

Other stars include Marissa Bode as Nessarose, SNL’s Bowen Yang as Pfannee and Keala Settle as Miss Coddle.

Director Jon shared a look behind the scenes in the highly anticipated film from earlier this year, showing Ariana’s reaction to landing the role of Glinda.

The singer expressed her lifelong dream, telling Jon that she would “take great care of her.”
